We are seeking a Project Engineer to provide support to launch activities & test operations.

Summary of Key Duties for this position:
• Support operations at launch sites, lead and execute ground equipment operations & maintenance tasks.
• Train and mentor junior engineers to assure appropriate knowledge transfer.
• Review and refine launch support requirements to assure timely, cost effective solutions.
• Facilitate coordination with multiple technical disciplines, including contractors and external customers, to successfully execute assigned tasks associated with maintenance, launch operations, procurement and contractor activities.

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience in development & revising of test instructions/procedures used to operate & maintain ground support equipment in support of flight systems operations (including aircraft, missiles, rockets, UAS, or other high value & critical flight hardware).
• Possess an understanding of flight hardware processing as it pertains to GSE (ground support equipment), facility support systems such as HVAC, cleanrooms, pneumatic & purge systems, etc.
• Knowledge of ESD (electro static discharge) prevention methods for sensitive hardware handling, drop mitigation, cleanroom operations, foreign object elimination, pre-use checkout of ground support equipment, test operations, leak checks, troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, incident investigations and developing detailed corrective action plans.
• Experience leading test teams performing pre-use checkout of ground support equipment, test operations, leak checks, troubleshooting, anomaly resolution, incident investigations and developing detailed corrective action plans.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Proven ability to present technical reports and test data analysis to peers, management and customers.
• Must be a US citizen, will be subject to a government security investigation, and must meet eligibility requirements for an elevated clearance for access to classified information.
Desired Skills:
• Active TS/SCI
• Knowledge of HVAC control systems, environmental control systems, mechanical launch systems to include processing operations, HVAC systems, GN2 and other pneumatic systems.
