Description:WHAT WE'RE DOING
Lockheed Martin is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Manufacturing Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight to our La Mesa production facility in Tijuana, Mexico. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising production operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, ensuring optimal performance in terms of cost, schedule, safety, and quality. This key leadership role will require collaboration with cross-functional teams to meet manufacturing expectations, as well as presenting program and team status to internal and external customers.

THE WORK
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight to production operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives
• Supervise and manage a team of approximately 11 Supervisors and ~400 indirect employees at the La Mesa Production Facility
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize production processes, improve efficiency, and reduce costs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, and supply chain, to meet manufacturing expectations and drive continuous improvement

Oversee production areas, including:
• Surface Mount Technology (SMT) and Plated-Through-Hole (PTH) Circuit Card Assemblies (CCAs)
• Large molded cables
• Medium and large harnesses
• Electronic assemblies and electronic boards

• Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including Lockheed Martin's policies and procedures
• Lead discussions and present program and team status to internal and external customers, including stakeholders and senior leadership

Please Note: Frequent travel (4-5 days/week) is required across the U.S./Mexico border to support business operations and customer relationships

Basic Qualifications:
• Minimum of 10 years of related professional experience in Maquiladora manufacturing environment
• Prior personnel and supervisory experience
• Fluent in both English and Spanish
• Ability to work and travel within the U.S. and Mexico
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate statuses and priorities through various formats (i.e.. verbal, written, Microsoft platforms, etc..) and to multiple layers of personnel (i.e.. floor operators up to Program Management Office)
• Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships

Position requires proficiency in the following areas:
• Product Pilot Lines Development
• Equipment Feasibility Studies
• Cost Reduction Systems
• Establishment of QA/QC Procedures
• Production Standards
• Production Supervision
• Production and Material Control Systems
• AS9100/ISO9000 requirements
Desired Skills:
• Prior experience within Lockheed Martin's Mexico facility
• Knowledge of Import/Export, Labor and Environmental Laws
• Black Belt in Lean Manufacturing
• Basic knowledge of Mexican accounting and financial principles
• Demonstrated ability to apply 6S lean practices in everyday work environment

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Non- standard 40 hour work week as assigned by leader
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $106,100 - $187,105. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $122,000 - $211,485. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
