System Engineer-Cyber

Description:This Agile Development Team position is in direct support to the Cyber Enterprise Services (CES) located in San Antonio, TX with the Air Force Cyber Command.

The candidate will perform as a member of an agile team and will ensure clear communication and timely issue resolution, performing on advanced complex technical challenges requiring state-of-the-art technical knowledge of the industry.

Performs advanced technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and cost, risk, supportability, and effectiveness analyses for total systems.

Ensures logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical constraints.

Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, and requirements allocation and interface definition studies to evaluate compliance of software specifications with customer requirements.

Performs planning, modeling, validation, engineering, and verification activities. Able to mentor more junior level systems engineers and lead large teams in technical task completion.

Analyzes effectiveness/efficiency of program procedures and processes and develops/recommends improvements.

Prepares presentations, reports, research, and other contract deliverables.

Participates in selected programs, events, and meetings involving staff, Government customers, and visitors.
Basic Qualifications:
This candidate must have a variety of technical skills that predominantly cover systems engineering, but include software engineering, and cyber awareness/knowledge.

Familiarity with UML, software architecture, service-oriented architecture, agile processes, systems engineering, and verification and validation.

Software hazard analysis and risk assessment in conjunction with the development of a system reference model.
Desired Skills:
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or Aerospace Engineering

Agile development experience

Formal Cyber certification (DoD 8570) such as Security + or CISSP
