Control Systems Engineer

Description:The candidate will join an energized engineering team in Palm Beach involved with the development and test of innovative undersea vehicles and systems. This is a unique opportunity for the right individual to engage in knowledge transfer with SME mentorship in multiple disciplines that involve development of dynamic models, analyses, and simulations in support of existing and new undersea vehicle design initiatives. This activity includes generation of math/physics-based models for multi-degree of freedom dynamic simulations, hydrodynamic lift and drag computations, vehicle trim and control power assessments for dynamics and control systems design, data reduction, and performance trade studies. The candidate should have familiarity with modeling various sensors, actuation, and propulsive control effectors as part of the process. Additionally, the candidate should have demonstrated skills developing models using MATLAB/Simulink as the dynamic simulation and analysis environment, and ideally, have familiarity with deriving hydrodynamic coefficients using Star-CCM+ or equivalent CFD analysis tools.
Basic Qualifications:
BS in Mechanical, Aerospace or Ocean Engineering; MS/PhD preferred. Equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years or more of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
Desired Skills:
