Description:Supporting the DoD Cyber Crime Center (DC3) and Air Force Office of Special Investigations.
Working with customer team of mission functional experts, Applications Systems Analyst will develop/document requirements from the project’s inception to conclusion in the subject matter of business process management, in particular, law enforcement and counterintelligence case management, residing within the Department of the Air Force, at both the unclassified and classified (Secret and below) security levels. Must have in-depth knowledge and understanding of software development and the use of/integration of commercial off-the-shelf software in DoD and commercial cloud environments. Assist staff members in the analysis, evaluation, and recommendations for business process management systems, records management systems, and multilevel security platforms residing on cloud platforms.
• B.S. degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering Formulates/defines system scope and objectives.
• Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
• Candidate must have more than 5 recent (i.e. less than 2 years removed) years of experience in a software engineering role
• Strong programming skills in PHP, Python, C++ or assembly
• Experience in SQL
• Rudimentary knowledge in Network Architecture and networked programs
• Experience with the software development lifecycle to include requirements definition and unit testing
• Experience in developing cyber security, malware analysis or digital forensics applications
• Must have a minimum of a U.S. Secret Security clearance
• Prepares detailed specifications for programs. Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
• Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
• Assists all phases of software systems programming applications.
• Evaluates new and existing software products.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience or familiarity with Risk Management Framework (RMF) Compliance
• Systems Engineering Professional Certification (CSEP) preferred
• PMP Certification preferred
• Experience optimizing processes and workflows utilizing tools, technology, and people
• Ability to develop, track and maintain schedules
• Experience providing project status to customers at various levels
• Ability to successfully multi-task and work on a variety of projects simultaneously with varying resources, scope, and deadlines
Desired Skills:
