Responsibilities
Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Firewall Management Toolset Developer to design, develop, and maintain a suite of tools and applications that support our firewall administrators in managing and securing our network infrastructure. As a key member of our team, you will leverage your expertise in cloud-based solutions, backend database design, and automation initiatives to enhance our firewall management capabilities and improve the overall efficiency and security of our network.
A successful candidate will have a deep understanding of firewall technologies, including configuration, management, and troubleshooting, as well as experience with vendor APIs, in-house developed databases, and commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions. You will use this knowledge to develop and improve tools and workflows that support our firewall management team, including:
* Developing and maintaining cloud-based applications and scripts to automate firewall management tasks
* Designing and maintaining backend relational databases to store and manage firewall configuration and log data
* Identifying opportunities for improved tools and workflows, and designing and developing solutions to address these needs
* Collaborating with firewall administrators and other stakeholders to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
Key Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, test, and deploy cloud-based tools and applications to support firewall management, including automation of routine tasks and workflows
* Develop and maintain backend databases to support firewall management, including data modeling, database design, and performance optimization
* Collaborate with firewall administrators to identify opportunities for improved tools and workflows, and develop solutions to address these needs
* Develop and maintain APIs and integrations with vendor-provided tools and systems to support firewall management
* Participate in the development of automation scripts and workflows to improve efficiency and reduce manual errors in firewall management
The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated and proactive individual with a strong understanding of firewall technologies and a passion for developing innovative solutions to complex problems. You will be able to work independently with minimal direction, and will be comfortable communicating technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Multiple years of programming experience with Python, C#/.Net, or NodeJS
- API integration development experience
- Significant experience deploying, supporting, and troubleshooting security technologies in large enterprise networks
- Strong familiarity with firewalls
- Familiarity with AWS cloud technologies (Cloud Practitioner certification)
- Experience with SQL relational databases

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $136,500 - $236,555. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer. Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year. This position is incentive plan eligible.
