The U-2 LOB Lead Systems Architect is responsible for overseeing the design and development of the U-2 portfolio architecture.
• In this role, the individual provides technical guidance on systems and system element architecture, design, and interface definition, develops, documents, and deploys design policies, design patterns, conventions, and architectural guidelines that enforce architecture properties for current and future air system development.
• Functions as primary and initial point of contact for new system architecture definitions or modifications across U-2 program and with customers and senior leaders.
• The individual will conduct air system architecture analysis as appropriate to ensure system architecture and design support customer requirements.
• Additionally, the Lead U-2 LOB System Architect is responsible for developing future roadmaps and determining how to best align the platform air system portfolio architecture to facilitate cross-program and cross-lines of business efforts to maximize commonality and reuse as well as the use of open or commercial standards.
• The architect will maintain knowledge of current and developing technologies and design and analysis methodologies and work collaboratively with other System Architects, Software Architects, Hardware Architects, System Design engineers and other engineering disciplines in the design of the air system architecture and ensures the U-2 air systems' architecture supports required assessment and certification requirements.

Designs, develops and oversees system architectures, including complex systems and systems design activities. Serves as focal point for the development and communication of the system architecture. Ensures conversion of mission requirements into total systems solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the system. Develops systems and system element architecture, design, and interface definition. Supports internal and external design reviews. Maintains knowledge of current and developing technologies and design and analysis methodologies. Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.

Basic Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications :
• Experience in leading U2 Platform Systems Architecture, Systems Engineering, Software Architecture, Hardware Architecture or Chief Engineering disciplines.
• Previous experience with briefing Leadership
• Experience working with Cross-functional team (Systems Engineering, Hardware Engineering, Software Engineering, System Integration & Test, Chief Engineering, Safety, Airworthiness, etc)
• Experience working with all aspects of Air System (Vehicle Systems, Mission Systems, Ground Systems, etc.)
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of the U-2 airframe, DCGS (Ground Station), and Sensor and Data Link performance and employment.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Systems Engineering Process
- Experience with Agile Development
- Experience developing technical roadmaps for incorporation of new capabilities
- Experience in cross platform employment of sensors and data links
- Familiarity with Joint All Domain Operations constructs and solutions
