Description:The Skunk Works (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program) is looking for world class talent in Labs and Technical Services (L&TS) to be a part of a team that will carry on our 75 plus year tradition making history in advanced aircraft development.

L&TS as part of a highly innovative team responsible for developing, testing and maintaining aircraft simulation systems and subsystems utilized for aircraft capability integration and weapons systems development from concept design through production and delivery.

This position is for a Lead System Engineer to work in the Advanced Development Programs (ADP) portfolio, continuing its heritage of rapidly developing innovative quality products. The primary responsibility of this position is to lead the ADP system engineering team’s development activities that are necessary to successfully complete milestones leading up to the full verification, validation and delivery of the ADP product capabilities.

The system engineering activities include providing technical oversight for: Laboratory system requirements derivation, requirements management, requirements change management, system design development, system integration planning, system requirements verification, system performance validation, and onsite installation, setup and acceptance testing of the ADP system.

This position will require close coordination with ADP Project Leadership plus proactive engagement with L&TS simulation software, subsystem procurement, hardware development teams, and other teams both inside and outside LM Aeronautics, to ensure an effective system engineering communication interface is established and maintained.
The successful candidate will need to pass a security screening before interview.

Must be a US Citizen. This position is located at a facility that requires special access and a Top Secret security clearance updated within the last 6 years to start.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Experience with planning and managing System Integration Lab (SIL) resources to effectively support program needs
Experience with SIL development and operations.
Desired Skills:
Applied knowledge of the Systems Engineering “V”

Control Account Manager Experience;
Knowledge or experience in lab system design and development;
Previous experience leading a team to standup a new laboratory.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Must be willing to mentor junior level team members.
