Staff Software Engineer

Description:Responsibilities will span the technology development lifecycle, including requirements generation, system and software design and architecture, and integration and flight test.

Responsibilities will include oversight of mission systems software technologies as well as development of data analysis tools used to post-process mission and test data. The selected individual will work closely with partners and suppliers to ensure software mission success across the team. The selected individual will have significant focus on architecting and directing the implementation of cybersecurity and information assurance (including anti-tamper) requirements into existing and new software. Software integration activities may include multiple host systems, simulated systems, and laboratory environments.

This assignment is for a position on a dynamic team with a multitude of programs; the selected individual should be capable and interested in performing a wide variety of other duties (to include systems engineering, systems integration and test, and data analysis functions) as required and assigned.

***Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must possess Secret Security Clearance with an investigation within the last 6 years.***

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline

Demonstrated experience with the following:
• Experience with software programming languages such as C, C++, C#, or a related language
• Experience with the software development process in a distributed environment (supplier management, integrated testing, configuration management, defect tracking)

***Must be a US Citizen, position is located at a facility that requires special access. Must possess Secret Security Clearance with an investigation within the last 6 years.***
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience with the following:
• Developing software for air vehicle systems
• Formal software architecture and design using tools such as Rhapsody or Magic Draw
• Cybersecurity and/or information assurance (anti-tamper) requirements and implementation
• Developing and using analysis tools to evaluate large data sets (data post-processing, statistics)
• Developing MS Access applications
• Python and/or PERL scripting

Must also demonstrate the following:
• Ability to build and maintain relationships, collaborate with others, engage in constructive conflict, and manage interpersonal dynamics
• Strong decision making and judgment
• Oral and written communication skills
• Basic financial and business acumen
• Ability to deliver results for the business in partnership with program managers and other functional disciplines/organizations as needed
• Experience using standard office software tools/ solutions e.g., Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Ability to travel
