Description:This position shall serve as the Codes and Tools Lead for the Signature Management & Survivability (SM&S) / Signature Integration (SI) group. This position shall support the execution, technical direction, and roadmap development of advanced state-of-the-art Computational Electromagnetic (CEM) codes and tools. Identify, pursue, and manage internal and customer sponsored research and development programs. Interface with internal LM Aero, other LM business units, external customers, universities, and suppliers to develop new codes and tools related technologies and transition them to LM Aero products.
Responsible for all aspects of employee development and management (assignments, staffing, training, mentoring, career development, performance reviews, compensation, discipline, and promotions). Shall develop, maintain, and deploy personnel with skills in Computational Electromagnetics (CEM), high performance computing (HPC), and parallel processing.
The ideal candidate will also serve as a focal point in providing technical leadership for hardware requirements development, hardware deployment/validation/verification, and response to program trouble tickets/requests. Approximately one half of this assignment will be to support Skunk Works programs, proposals, and reviews as an individual contributor.
Basic Qualifications:
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance with Special Program Access
• Expertise with High Performance Computing and parallel processing
• Familiarity with Computational Electromagnetic Modeling (CEM) tools and their application to the design of LO vehicles
• Experience in planning, tracking, and managing IT projects.
• Control Account Management (CAM) and/or leading effort(s) with Earned Value (EVMS) reporting requirements
• Experience developing government customer relationships, effective task organization, presentation and exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven success writing white papers and proposals
• Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education
Desired Skills:
• Experience managing large, multi-year software development projects in an AGILE environment
• Experience with modern, high performance computing hardware
• Experience validating in-house software for deployment to programs
