Description:This position is with our Skunk Works Special Projects Department located in Palmdale Ca (Lockheed Martin Advanced Development Program, Production Operations), on the LBFD Program (X-59 Aircraft).

Responsible for all manufacturing aspects of various ADP Special Projects Prod Ops efforts. Will be required to submit manufacturing proposals/quotes, generate estimates, conduct manufacturing trades, develop manufacturing plans, track performance and execution. In addition, will be required to coordinate with all pertinent organizations to execute ADP build and instrumentation efforts. Will be responsible for preparing and delivering briefs to all levels of management regarding manufacturing efforts and proposals.

As a Project Engineer, you will:
- Support the execution of aircraft assembly operations work scope, part fabrication coordination, cost account management, and program execution.
- Ensure that projects are completed on schedule following established procedures, schedules, and work plans
- Coordinate the planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility
- Possess strong system perspective and excellent interpersonal skills

Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience.

Basic Qualifications:
-- Knowledge of program lifecycle and how early milestones may drive future costs
-- Demonstrated ability to work with technical leads to manage cost, schedule, and technical scope
-- Strong interpersonal and problem solving skills
-- Self-Starter with the ability to multitask
-- Strong leadership skills and whole systems thinking--Experience using MS Office
--Program/Project Manufacturing experience
-- Aerospace manufacturing experience such as (metallic, non-metallic, electrical, assembly, flight ops)
Desired Skills:
-- Bachelors degree in a technical or business oriented discipline or 10+ years of experience in desired field
--Aircraft subsystems installation experience
--Manufacturing plan and start-up knowledge
--EVMS execution Knowledge
--6+ years Program/Project Manufacturing experience
-- White, Green, or Black Belt Lean Training and Certification
-- Technical Degree
-- Problem Solving Skills
-- Self Starter
-- Manufacturing Proposal Writing and Manufacturing Plan development Experience
--High temp metallics or composites experience
--Knowledge of materials and their respective mechanical properties
--4+ years Electrical, hydraulic, or pneumatic installation or aircraft fabrication experience
--Design for Manufacturing / Design for Assembly experience
