Description:This position supports the national security of the United States.

Lockheed Martin’s (LM) Aeronautics Company (AERO), home of the greatest innovations in aeronautical engineering, is looking for an experienced and energetic security investigator to join the Security & Emergency Services (SES) organization based at LM’s Advanced Development Programs (ADP), better known as the Skunk Works™, in Palmdale, CA.

The primary mission of the SES organization is to mitigate risk and promote the safety and security of company personnel and assets; and to ensure compliance with U.S. government and other customer security requirements in support of U.S. national security interests.

As a teammate within SES’ Security Investigations Department (SID), the investigator will conduct complex and comprehensive investigations to ensure the protection of the company’s personnel and property at several AERO locations in California to fortify our nation’s emerging and revolutionary technologies and systems.

Working as either an individual contributor or as part of a team, the investigator will develop investigative strategies, perform thorough and timely investigations of internal and external threats to the company, then document findings in written investigative reports.

The investigator will conduct interviews, collect and analyze data, then present investigative findings to internal adjudicating committees.

They will also interface with counterparts and senior management on issues and supports functional leadership, including HR, Legal, Ethics and Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) organizations.

Occasional travel may be required to fulfill mission and training requirements.

MUST BE A US CITIZEN - This position is located in a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college (equivalent experience/combined education).

Minimum 5 years experience in conducting investigations related to law enforcement, labor relations, counterintelligence or internal employee misconduct.

Experience in preparing investigative reports.
Desired Skills:
Experience conducting interviews of victims, witnesses and subjects of investigations.

Experience presenting counterintelligence or threat awareness presentations.

Excellent written and oral communications skills.

Experience in presenting oral briefings to small or large audiences, including executives.

Demonstrated successful conflict resolution skills.

Demonstrated strong knowledge of industrial security protocols and regulations.

Possess model ethical behavior and integrity.
