Environmental Manager

Description:Candidate will be responsible for managing, defining, and implementing the environmental and chemical management programs and management system for Palmdale Skunk Works (ADP) operations, a large aerospace research and development facility.

These responsibilities include regulatory compliance with EPA, State EPA and CUPA regulatory programs.

Candidate will be responsible for supporting implementation of the facility's existing ISO 14001 certification working with LM Aero leadership and operations.

The candidate will be responsible for integrating management and represented labor into a comprehensive, continuous improvement, employee engaged culture.

Candidate will be responsible for ensuring waste, water, air emissions, chemical management, sustainability and other aspects of the site environmental programs are compliant with applicable federal, state and local regulatory requirements.

Candidate will report directly to the ESH Senior Manager and will manage a team of experienced site ESH professionals and contractors.

Candidate will drive a positive ESH culture and assure full compliance with all applicable ESH regulatory, Corporate and Customer requirements.

MUST BE A US CITIZEN - This position is located in a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
Leadership experience.

Experience interfacing with EPA, CUPA and other California regulatory agencies.

Experience managing ESH programs
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with OSHA compliance programs and California regulatory environment.

Working knowledge of ISO 14001 standard.

Familiarity with Department of Defense Environmental and chemical management requirements.

Familiarity with Continuous Improvement tools such as LM21 Operating Excellence/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.

Change Agent.

Certificates in ESH disciplines.

Energized by working in fast paced, dynamic, changeable environment.
