Avionics Engineer

Description:The Skunk Works is looking for world-class talent in mission systems engineering to join the 75 year tradition of creating advanced aircraft.

This position requires an Avionics Engineer to use their technical, program, and systems expertise in support of an ADP program. The candidate will define navigation specifications, navigation data interface with autopilot and avionics processing/displays, perform navigation performance analysis, system integration support and troubleshooting, technical oversight over the navigation system supplier, and perform aircraft navigation boresight procedures.

The candidate must be effective working in team environment environments. Strong verbal and writing skills are essential.

***Must be a US Citizen. Position is located at a facility that requires special access. Selected applicant must have a Secret Security Clearance with an investigation within the last 5 years.***
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor or above in an Engineering Discipline, Math, Physics, or related STEM Degree

Excellent organizational and verbal/written communication skills

Desired Skills:
-Kalman Filter analysis experience
-Demonstrated understanding of Ethernet data interface
-Test and verification experience
-Strong written and verbal communications skills
-Demonstrated data analysis experience
-Avionics integration on one or more platforms
-Detailed knowledge of inertial and Global Positioning System navigation systems technology
-Experience in design and development of mission systems
