Be part of an interdisciplinary engineering team focused on integration of hardware and software, fabrication, and test for our optical product line.

In this role you will:

• Lead a team of engineers and technicians to test optical and electro-optical systems including top level, sub-systems, and component level testing.

• Influence the design of test software and optical test setups for high energy laser systems and sub-assemblies. Work with a team to establish and certify these test systems for production use across several platforms.

• Analyze and test optical and electro-optical systems and components.

• Investigate phases of physical optics and geometric optics, lasers, laser characteristics, laser maintenance, and broadband optical sources.

• Resolve test anomalies and perform troubleshooting, support product certification for system level testing.
Basic Qualifications:
To be qualified to interview for this role, you will need to possess these basic qualifications:

• A year degree in optical engineering or related discipline with demonstrated understanding of the fundamentals of optical engineering
• Industry experience in optical laser systems or research equivalent/Masters Degree
• Understanding of high energy laser tactical use for weapons
• Proficiency in MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills

PLEASE NOTE:
- Applicants selected must successfully pass a background investigation and drug test.
- Additionally, any roles requiring Department of Defense Security Clearances will require US Citizenship.
Desired Skills:
Preferably, you should also have these desired skills:

• Manufacturing knowledge / experience
• Knowledge of the following tools: SAP, EPDM, Jira
