Contracts Senior Manager - Sikorsky MMS

Description:The selected candidate will serve as the contracts lead for the Maritime & Mission Systems Market Segment within the Sikorsky Line of Business at RMS, providing contracts senior leadership for a ~$1B Market Segment within the Sikorsky portfolio of products at Rotary and Mission Systems. This contracts leader is responsible for a team of contracts professionals in Sikorsky's Stratford, CT and Owego, NY sites in support of Naval Helicopter Programs production, development and FMS platforms, Maritime Sustainment programs, and Mission Systems integration into new and existing Sikorsky products.

The contracts leader selected for this role will perform as a valued business leader and partner with business development, programs, finance, and functional counterparts and Market Segment leadership to drive creative and competitive contracting approaches. She or he will drive contractual strategies across the business portfolio, establish and refine contracting practices to ensure all contractual requirements are met during program execution, and lead contracts support for proposal development, fact finding and negotiations.

The candidate must be capable of building and maintaining effective working relationships with internal and external customers, and acting as the company’s primary contact with external customers on contracts-related matters.
Basic Qualifications:
-Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education.
-Contracting professional with U.S. Government, commercial and international contracts experience.
-Experience with and knowledge of the FAR and DFARS.
-Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
-Ability to effectively influence peers, leadership and customers to obtain the optimal contractual outcomes for Lockheed Martin.
-Currently possess a Secret Security clearance or have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance. (To obtain a clearance, you must be a U.S. citizen).
Desired Skills:
-Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and procedures.
-Experience in helicopter acquisition programs or other major defense acquisitions is an advantage.
-Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to troubleshoot problems and develop creative solutions.

The contracts leader must also be proactive in anticipating customer issues and developing solutions which create “win-win” outcomes for LM and LM’s customers. The leader will work well under time constraints in a fast-paced environment. If the candidate is an experienced leader, she or he will be adept at coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, providing performance assessment, defining work assignments, and other HR-related responsibilities.
