THE WORK
This is a Systems/Software Quality Engineering position supporting the LM Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) F-35 Training Systems (TS) Program, based in Orlando, FL and interfacing directly with the F-35 Training Systems (TS) Systems and Software Quality Engineering Manager on Systems and Software Quality Engineering tasks/priorities, functionally reporting to the SSQE Manager. Expected to quickly learn the F-35 TS products, System & Software work scope, technical requirements, risks, customer interactions, and deliver per schedule milestones. The SSQE responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Identify root causes and associated corrective actions, evaluate process/product performance, and participate/interface with the engineering counterparts on program activities to assure processes and products are compliant to contractual requirements.
• Ability to evaluate data and provide solutions to systemic issues and trends.
• Support F-35 engineering review and change control boards.
• Witness F-35 integration and test activities and formal quality testing, as required.
• Support security/information assurance activities, as required.
• Support deployment of F-35 deliverables to global customer sites, ensuring successful customer acceptance at site.
• Support F-35 production, test, and DCMA acceptance at source efforts during deployments.
• Ability to support flexible schedules to travel to domestic and international customer sites to support product installation and sell-off and audit activities as needed.
• Support SSQE efforts for all activities including (but not limited to) task scheduling and assignments, work execution, and problem resolution.
• Participate in the F-35 Working Group and Integrated Product Team meetings with the customer.
• Support DCMA contract oversight data pull for software process artifacts.
• Support F-35 Risk and Opportunity Management reviews.
• Support Release Management.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, Science or a related discipline, or any other degree with comparable Quality experience or equivalent combined experience
- Experience in one or more of the following areas: statistical analysis, statistical process control, sampling, six sigma or root cause analysis.
- Experience with details of individual aspects of the software lifecycle (e.g. Requirements, Design, Coding, Unit Testing, Formal Testing, Integration & Testing, Release, Configuration Management, Problem Resolution)
Experience performing data analytics (e.g. statistical analysis and/or metrics).
- Excellent communication skills.
- Must have a demonstrated history of strong performance and ability to take initiative and lead across a variety of QA responsibilities and tasks on development and/or sustainment programs.
- AS9100 knowledge.
- Proven audit experience.
- Interim Secret Clearance required to start.
- Familiarity with System & Software Engineering requirements, design, integration and test. Extensive understanding of software dependencies, development lifecycles, process flow and development methodologies. Must be able to manage multiple priorities and have strong documentation and follow through skills.
- Must be able to lead independently.
Desired Skills:
Bachelor's Degree and 5+ years of quality engineering
experience. DoD contract experience. Knowledge of LM RMS
processes and procedures. Lean/Six Sigma black (or green)
belt. Knowledge of software development lifecycles such as
Agile Development. Knowledge of C/C++, C#, Java and
Scripting Languages. Internal Process Auditing Experience.
Systems and Hardware Engineering a plus
Use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
