Job Responsibilities
Description:
You will be the Quality Engineer for the team. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of programs and products.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for performing the roles of Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) and Program Quality Engineer (PQE) at roughly a 50/50 level of support. You will ensure the program meets all relevant quality standards, regulations, and customer requirements, as well as identifying and mitigating any quality risks that may potentially impact the program.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Serve as the primary QA liaison between the program and production work centers, working closely with work center QEs and MEs to ensure all hardware conforms to customer and LM requirements prior to delivery
- Identify, analyze, and communicate production performance trends and issues using system data tools and metrics
- Independently assess program QA risk and provide/support recommended mitigations for risk reduction
- Schedule and perform Quality Assessments in coordination with work centers, cross-functional IPTs, and DCMA
- Serve as the primary QA representative to program cross-functional IPTs and working groups
- Support configuration management tasks to include requirement review and changes
- Facilitate the program Yield Improvement Teams (YIT) in Orlando and Ocala
- Proactively utilize lean and six sigma principles and methods to identify and drive continuous improvement efforts across the program and S&GS LOB
- Support product delivery efforts to include the DD250 process and CoCs
- Drive RC/CA/PA for program product and process nonconformances and issues (Qnotes, VQDs, GCARs, escapes, FRBs)
- Understand and support Corrective Action Board protocols and work products to ensure actions are implemented and effective

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience; or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.
-Considered career, or journey, level.
-Position requires about 10 -25% travel
-Ability to obtain a security clearance
-Ability to read and interpret engineering drawing
-Experience in Quality Engineering processes
Root Cause Analysis ( Cause Mapping , 5-Why, Fishbone etc)
-Experience conducting First Article Inspections according to AS9102 and working with government customer.
Desired Skills:
-Experience in Quality Management Systems , Industry Standards and LM Command Media e,g AS9100, ISO9001, IPC and J-STD
-Experience performing complete root cause /corrective and /or preventative actions as related to internal/external customers and supplier performance
-Experience with continuous improvement initiatives
-Strong communication skills
-Six Sigma Green Belt certification

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
