Description:Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) Associate Manager for a position based in Orlando, Florida. The Quality professional will be responsible for leadership and performance within the Supplier Quality Engineering discipline, including Supplier Quality Engineering business process management, data analytics, continuous improvement, and talent development, training and knowledge continuity. The position may require working flexible hours and travel.

What You Will Be Doing
As the Supplier Quality Engineer Associate Manager, you will act as a Subject Matter Expert in the area of Supplier Quality Engineering and as an Adviser for the Quality team. This position requires that the candidate stay current with industry standards, solutions and leverage technology into MFC. Duties include, but are not limited to:

-Oversight and direct responsibility for Supplier Quality Engineer(s) / Analyst(s)

-Supervising the Supplier Quality assignment and coordination of daily tasks inclusive of but not limited to (1) source inspection, (2) First Article Inspection (FAI), (3) Production Process Baseline, (4) surveillance, (5) Failure Review Board, (6) Material Review Board (MRB), (7)Corrective Action Board and (8) product line validations as outlined by applicable company and industry standards.

-Ensure Supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified.

-Establish, revise, review and implement departmental policy and procedures.

-Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters.

-Drive strategies resulting in optimal business methods and practices for strengthening the Quality Management System and talent development.

-Develop, implement and support processes to optimize program execution while driving out risks.

-Utilize quality methodologies and MFC policies and procedures.

-Identifying solutions to complex problems with a focus on continual improvement practices.

-Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, while interfacing with customers and program management.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.


Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelors level degree or higher in STEM and/or equivalent experience/combined education
-Must have the ability to travel
-Must have ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
-Advanced Quality Engineering or Analyst experience
-In-depth knowledge and experience in Quality processes and procedures
-Advanced knowledge and experience conducting PO reviews, source inspections, Special Process / QMS surveys, FAI’s, and surveillance at supplier facilities
-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment, multi-task and meet deadlines
-Effective communication and presentation skills
-Proficient with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
-Experienced as a team lead and facilitator with business management skills and basic personnel management training
-Advanced interpersonal skills with the ability to influence outcomes
Desired Skills:
-STEM degree at bachelors' level or higher preferred
-A basic understanding of the MFC SAP and Procure to Pay (P2P) business systems
-ASQ Certification(s) and/or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt / Black Belt)
-Advanced AS9100, AS9102, AS9145 Interpretation and application experience
-Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and development of Quality Assurance Basis of Estimates (BOE)
-Ability to implement strategy and meet performance goals / objectives
-Demonstrates Full Spectrum Leadership attributes including: Deliver Results, Shape the Future, Build Effective Relationships, Energize the Team and Model Personal Excellence, Integrity and Accountability
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
