Job Responsibilities
Description:
You will be the Subcontract Management Staff for the Air Dominance and Strike Weapons (ADSW) Line‑of‑Business within Lockheed Martin’s Global Supply Chain organization. Our team drives end‑to‑end subcontract execution for the nation’s most advanced strike and air‑dominance systems, ensuring every contract delivers the right capability, on time and on budget.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Subcontract Management Staff you will be the go‑to expert for all contractual and legal aspects of major ADSW subcontracts. You’ll partner with program managers, engineers, and external partners to negotiate, draft, and finalize agreements that protect our interests while enabling rapid delivery of war‑winning technology.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading negotiations with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms and mitigate risk.
• Developing, reviewing, and updating contract terms, conditions, and special clauses in alignment with LM policies and government regulations.
• Authoring and revising contract letters, statements of work, and amendments with precision and clarity.
• Acting as the subject matter expert on contractual and legal issues, providing guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) FAR/DFARS requirements and internal audit standards.
• Coordinating with legal, finance, and engineering teams to resolve contractual disputes and drive timely issue resolution.
• Maintaining accurate contract records, logs, and reporting metrics for senior leadership review.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with any of the following- Legal/Contracts, Procurement/Subcontract management, or Project Management particularly in a complex contracting environment
• Business acumen and ability to make business based decisions and support a large organization
• Demonstrated communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation) particularly in a legal and complex contracting environment.
• Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures
• Ability to obtain and/or keep a Secret Clearance
• Able to travel (~10%)
Desired Skills:
• Bachelor's degree in a related field (such as Business Administration, Pre-Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline)
• Defense Industry or Contract Law experience
• Understanding of a wide range of contract types from Cost Type to Price Based to Time and Material.
• Experience in Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA)
• FAR and DFAR understanding and application in government contracts
• Demonstrated Risk Management experience
• Leadership skills
An Active Secret Clearance
• Experience with SAP based MRP system
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
