In this Subcontract Administrator role you will support multiple programs with a wide range of prime contract customers and will manage subcontracts with multiple contract types, which may include FFP (Firm Fixed Price), T&M (Time and Material), CPFF (Cost plus fixed fee) and CPAF (Cost plus award fee). This program area is also responsible for a high volume of proposal activity
This position will be responsible for a range of tasks to support the needs of early development contracts and IRAD Tasks including close collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines, program managers, production operations, production planning and control, affordability leads, business operations and Quality. Where warranted, this position may be required to establish and lead Supplier Management Teams (SMTs) and participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) as an individual contributor.
This position is responsible for compliant procurement practices in accordance with Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures and Commercial Acquisition procedures:
• Proprietary Information Agreements,
• requests for proposal,
• source selection,
• management of BOM requirements to ensure timely placement of POs and delivery of goods/services
• negotiation,
• subcontract awards,
• management of subcontracted effort,
• timely administration of modifications, and
• contract closeout
Basic Qualifications:
Must have a Bachelors degree with 3 years of professional, relevant work experience
• Working knowledge of FAR/DFARS (Federal Acquisition Regulations/Defense Acquisition Regulations System)
• Effective verbal communication skills, writing ability and presentation skills
• Proficient in the use of MS Office products to include detailed experience with MS Excel/ PowerPoint and Word
• Demonstrated understanding of the elements of a contract
• Ability to obtain Secret Clearance
Desired Skills:
• Secret Clearance with update in past 5 years
• 3+ years of procurement/subcontracts experience
• Experience with FFP and T&M contract types
• Experience with Supply Chain Management (SCM) processes and procedures, Lockheed Martin Acquisition Procedures (LMAP), and P2P
• Experience in working competitive proposals
• Process improvement and materials processes
• Effective communicator, detail-oriented, and team player
