Description:Manages software development activities. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee
recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and
recognition/disciplinary actions. Oversees the design, development, documentation, and testing of
software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions
in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate
standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge
of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission
applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to
develop software. Ensures software standards are met Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced
professional to manage and lead software development, deployment, maintenance, and enhancement
activities within the Logistics and Sustainment Engineering (LSE) Strategic Initiatives (SI) Emergent
Visualizations and Operations Software (EVOS) Solutions team in Orlando, FL. The chosen applicant will
be required to possess technical fortitude, dedicated focus, and experienced personnel management
skills shall be required for successful management of team design implementations and software
lifecycle support. The applicant will be required to articulate technical requirements to non-technical
customers and ensure their understanding of capabilities being developed and released to both
internal and external users. The chosen applicant will be required to develop and monitor operational
processes, procedures and technical documentation to ensure consistent, repeatable, and scalable
support aimed to provide software enhancements required by both internal and external system
stakeholders. The chosen applicant will accomplish team results through lower level team leads and
exempt professional staff who exercise significant latitude and independence in assignments. Specific
personnel management responsibilities will include employee career and skillset development,
mentoring, recognition, labor hours management, scheduling, task delegation, and poor performance
or behavior corrective action. Specific team technical tasks will require the chosen applicant to conduct
and participate in team design and assurance reviews for software development efforts, strategic
planning for future business opportunities, routine and persistent review of software development
processes and procedures, cross-functional/business area risk mitigation, and micro and macro-level
technical briefing preparation and delivery using their experienced level of software engineering
standards and change control processes, programming and design methodologies, software architecture, and teaming skills.

-Atlanta, GA is 6 hours to the northwest.
Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education,
with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
• Ability to obtain Secret clearance
• Strong foundation in .NET fullstack programming of website and desktop client applications
• Strong foundation in database design and development using Microsoft SQL server
• Extensive experience architecting large-scale software development projects
• Proven ability to serve as a project lead in a technical team setting
• Excellent written and verbal communications with team, colleagues, management, and customers
• Proven ability to implement customer requirements that provide affordable solutions within project
constraints (scope, budget, schedule)
• Extensive experience in defining and managing of software requirements, coding and testing standards, baseline and change control process of product and associated documentation.
• Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, communication flow, and full spectrum leadership attributes
Desired Skills:
• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline
• Active Secret Clearance within 5-years of last investigation
• Moderate experience and/or familiarization with any or all the following skills: Third Party APIs/SDKs, External Input and Device Integration, and Git/TFS/Azure DevOps/AccuRev/Jira change control tools.
• Existing Lockheed Martin culture experience w/military oriented projects or Programs
• Ability to technically guide other team members comprised of various skilled software programmers through all phases of the software development lifecycle
