Description:Lockheed Martin (LM) is seeking an Image Processing Engineer skilled and experienced in image processing algorithm development. The Image Processing engineer will design, implement, test and diagnosis image processing algorithms for a variety of Lockheed Martin imaging sensors. This responsibility includes reviewing system requirements, developing algorithms in non-real time implementation, and supporting real-time implementation. The Image Processing algorithm developer must have experience with integrating and assessing sensor algorithms in an integrated simulation environment. The algorithm developer will also develop and design quick look tools and participate in algorithm design trades and design of experiments and must have analytical skills required for these functions.
Basic Qualifications:
Candidate must demonstrate the ability to perform some combination of the following Image and Signal Processing assignments:

Perform design/analysis of image processing algorithms employing image enhancement, detection and correlation techniques.

Design algorithms for scene/target signal or image enhancement and scene image correlation for multi-sensor fusion.

Design EO target discrimination algorithms to meet low false alarm rates with high target detection, recognition, and classification capability.

Optimize algorithms to meet memory and throughput capabilities of the processing hardware.

Capture and process flight test data to assess and enhance algorithm performance.

Verify compliance to customer requirements via simulation, and analysis of test data.

Work effectively with embedded software engineers to ensure algorithms are appropriately implemented and verified.

Demonstrate image and signal processing design skills utilizing C++ and MATLAB.

Demonstrate experience working with MATLAB and C++ simulations using collected data and synthetic data.

Demonstrate strong math skills used in simulation development experience.

Currently holds a Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 5 years.
Desired Skills:
Experience with multi-sensor data fusion is a plus.

Understanding of inertial tracking is also desired.
