Description:On Program: A Procurement Representative will have the opportunity to work on the fast-paced Tactical Missile or Fire Control Programs. A Procurement Representative is a vital and key component to the Lockheed Martin Supply Chain management team. The selected individual responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for all material / hardware activities including general purchasing, daily supplier and internal customer interface, subcontract management, supporting the production floor activity, and material management in support of the programs.
- Strategically look forward (120 days) and forecast the delivery of critical hardware to mitigate manufacturing impacts, work and resolve supplier and engineering issues, and implement proactive strategies to assure timely and compliant hardware deliveries
- Present to Senior Management regarding hardware shortages and delays, and recovery plan / strategy – including chart deck creation for the presentation
Ensure timely placement of Purchase Orders to suppliers, monitor and expedite hardware deliveries, and work through technical and quality issues at the suppliers
- Resolution of Supply Chain issues impacting production and early warning on potential supply chain issues that may impact the manufacturing line
- Ability to multitask and is comfortable working in a team environment

The candidate will be able to broaden their communications skills through their interface with the Southeastern Material Acquisition Center (SEMAC) buying team, as well as being a valuable member of the programs multi-functional team (Engineering, Quality, Finance, Program Management, Contract, etc.) to ensure the program is meeting their Company and Customer commitments.

The Procurement Representative will be responsible for timely purchase order placement and ongoing purchase order administration in SEMAC. You will source, negotiate and purchase machinery, equipment, tools, raw material, packaging materials, parts, services, and/or supplies necessary to support various customers across all MFC sites. Duties include:
- Preparation of solicitation documents; Analysis and evaluation of bid proposals
- Analyze suppliers' operations to determine factors that affect prices and to determine lowest cost consistent with quality, reliability, and ability to meet required schedules
- Source selection, Negotiation of price, delivery and terms and conditions
Contract award including preparation of procurement file documentation in accordance with LM acquisition procedures and ongoing order administration;

Proactive customer support is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to create and present utilizing Microsoft Office word, excel, and PowerPoint tools. Effective communication skills with the drive to grow and learn supply chain management.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Supply Chain activities to include procurement systems, production schedules, and IPT structures. An ideal candidate would have negotiation, configuration management, and quality requirement experience to support their procurement rep role. Ability to communicate to all levels of management and work with a cross functional team to deliver results
