Success for our customers is defined as material available consistent with their operational requirements at consistent costs. Success for Derco is defined as maximizing the financial benefits (orders/sales/EBIT) with a proper investment (inventory) and cross functional collaboration. To achieve these objectives, the PLPM will be responsible for integrating all aspects of the identified product line with all departments at Derco (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, BD, Contracts, QA).
Job Responsibilities
Collaborate with Sales / Programs:
- Establish an annual price list for different customer sets (partners, MROs, brokers)
- Identify cost increases and adjust on our different customer price lists to maximize sales ensuring no losses are taken on the product line
- Establish annual demand forecast for sales / procurement for the PL and key customers.
- Provide market share analysis / expectations with IS&S/CS
- Monitoring USG procurement if applicable
- Proactively define product line / part issues for the market including obsolesce and upgrade opportunities
- Summarize customer/market feedback received from the IS&S/CS team
- Ensure quoting / “no” quoting decisions are consistent with product line management
- Monitor program performance, KPIs for PL related material
- Monitor customer PMA inquiries to ensure Derco is quoting/capturing these sales with OEM approved material
- Coordinate necessary training on product line specifics and provide reach back to OEM when needed

Collaborate with Supply Chain:
- Ensure part numbers are properly identified for MRP planning (Planned vs. Unplanned parts)
- Ensure Material availability metrics for planned items are being met
- Establish annual demand forecast for sales and procurement
- Create and approve stocking strategies
- Have responsibility for any FEAs related to this product line
- Ensure OEM defined obsolete parts are identified and dispositioned
- Maintain current and correct SCM data in IFS (system, platform, royalty, etc)
- Provide high level support in addressing Supplier Performance issues
- Determine cost-effective inventory strategy to support our customers balancing performance metrics and inventory holding costs.
- Develop cost strategy to compete with PMA alternatives
Collaborate with Finance:
- Establish the annual price list consistent with ROS/Gross Margin approvals
- Establish sales/orders/inventory targets for the overall product line
- Review royalty reporting and approvals of payments to partner
- Report on FEA and inventory Excess and Obsolete product line parts
- Support any required intangible asset valuations
Collaborate with BD/Marketing:
- Identify adjacent products that could be supported around the PL agreement
- Support any capture team working on related PL parts
- Develops marketing plans, campaigns and other collateral that supports product awareness
Collaborate with Contracts / QA:
- Provide contractual reporting back to the Product Line partner (if applicable)
- Ensure partner suppliers are following “approved supplier” IP agreements
- Summarize any quality issues identified by QA for the partner
- Ensure all systems and processes at Derco are consistent with the PL agreement
- Work through any changes / amendments required for PL agreement (additions/deletions)
Basic Qualifications:
Related supply chain or subcontract management/administration experience with proven record of performance with focus on mission success
Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
Demonstrated ability to proactively team with all levels of the organization/program
Strong complex subcontract/contract experience, team building expertise and proven leadership
Desired Skills:
Experience in a LM Line of Business and/or supporting a program.
Comprehensive knowledge of supply chain.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
Strong background in aerospace/defense Technical Data Packages and/or Depot Data requirements.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with and manage supplier and internal customer relationships.
Experience in finance, cost/price analysis, schedule analysis, budgeting, and negotiations
