THE WORK

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Procurement Quality Engineer (PQE) for a position based out of Orlando, FL to manage the execution of tasks and provide Supplier quality oversight for Rotary Mission Systems Cross-Plant programs, as well as supporting role in the Rotary and Tactical Aircrew Training Systems (RTATS) market. The position will require working flexible hours with domestic and international travel to support supplier activity and program acceptance. As a member of the Procurement Quality Engineering Team, this individual will work with the PQE lead responsible for coordinating all efforts to ensure high quality and technical performance of deliverables are received.

Aside from solving new challenges every day, the role and its associated responsibilities provide a holistic program experience due to consistent exposure to suppliers, Customers, multiple cross-functional organizations, multiple RMS lines of business, as well as various levels of leadership (external and internal)!

The highlighted responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks related to Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE). Key areas of focus include:

Quality Assurance: Leading SQE efforts for Legacy & Cross Plant Programs and RTATS, serving as primary QA POC for suppliers, Reviewing and approving supplier FAIs, participating in drawing reviews, managing/facilitating RCCAs, and witnessing/maintaining tests and qualification events.
Supplier Management: Coordinating with suppliers, RMS lines of business, and internal cross functional POCs to address issues, driving continual improvement initiatives, and monitoring quality control activities.
Technical Expertise: Interpreting designs, drawings, and technologies to resolve issues, co
Performance collaborating with Operations and Engineering to address technical challenges.
Metrics: Analyzing and monitoring supplier quality performance metrics, identifying trends, and implementing controls.
Leadership Engagement: Briefing various levels of leadership and stakeholders on supplier quality
performance, participating in forums to facilitate disposition of non-conformances.
Audit and Compliance: Maintaining supplier audit programs, ensuring compliance with contractual, regulatory, and quality management system requirements, and performing preventative engagement surveillances and audits.

Basic Qualifications:
-Familiar with production environments

-Must have ability to obtain a US DoD Secret security clearance

-Must be able to support up to 50% daily travel to customer/supplier sites at domestic and international locations to participate in activities such as supplier test events, surveillance, inspections, and configuration audits.

-Technical Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 5 years of professional experience (system integration, I&T experience, systems engineering, IT background, field rep, or other); or 3 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

-Experience in preparing for and executing system test plans, test procedures, and
installation plans, inspection reports, etc.

-Experience authoring & reviewing technical documentation, ex: technical data package, technical manuals, work instructions, inspection instructions, engineering drawings, etc.. in line with DID requirements & system requirements

-Familiarity with industry standards (AS9100, ISO-9001, ASTM, IEEE, MIL-STD, etc…)

-Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic fast-paced environment
-Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines, and be flexible to support all supplier quality field engineering activities
-Strong communication skills
Desired Skills:
-Experience working closely with government customers
-Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at major supplier sites
-Experience in conducting Physical Configuration Audits
-Six Sigrna Green Belt
-Experience conducting First Article Inspections (FAI) to ASS 102
-American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certifications.
-Knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes, source acceptance inspections, auditing.
-A basic understanding of EPDM, Windchill, SAP,
and P2P business systems
-Knowledge of subcontractor / supplier flow downs, SSOW, SSPECs, etc.
-Experience with subsystem/system/software integration and system/product life cycle,
with Agile & waterfall methodology
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
