Lockheed Martin is seeking a Procurement Quality Engineer to be a part of the F-35 Training Systems Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) team based in Orlando, FL. This position requires up to 25% travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers and customers across the United States and International locations. The position will require working flexible hours. The position is a tactical position driving strategy requiring the individual to execute with direct contact of product, suppliers, and customers. Duties include:

Interface with Sourcing, Systems, Hardware development personnel, Suppliers, Integration/Test stakeholders, Program IPTs, Management and external Customers. Assist programs ensuring compliance to company processes, contractual requirements and technical specifications.

Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering and supplier management matters.

Responsibilities will include collaborating with engineering, test and supplier personnel to analyze/ correlate performance, reliability, failure trends of supplied product during production, integration, test, installation and supplier/LM ATPs. Utilize SAP (COS/P2P), BI/BW, ClearQuest to correlate results and determine root causes relative to technical data flow-down, design, performance criteria and specifications, manufacturing limitations and process.

Coordinate efforts with suppliers, Operations and Engineering to expedite the timely closure of open QNotes, SCARs with effective C/As and P/As.

The success of the person in this position will greatly depend on his/her ability to interface well with multiple stakeholders, effectively work in a dynamic environment, have strong interpersonal skills, and be able to communicate with positive impact.

Manage several subcontracts and suppliers on several levels to the project/program schedule, cost, and technical requirements.

Act as the LM Quality point of contact at supplier sites identifying and mitigating supplier risks and providing creative solutions to problems.

Performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product line validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards.

Perform analysis and use data analytics to implement supplier countermeasures, drive performance improvement, improve supplier yields, implement Zero Defect Plans, formulate supplier surveillance plans, and generate business-level procurement strategies.

Participate in source selection and supplier competition activities to evaluate total value to business.

Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions tied to Supplier Corrective Action Requests.

Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities.

Implement supplier development, recovery, standard work used to develop suppliers to perform at World Class levels.

Participate (as required) in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities.

Perform on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents providing written reports and interfacing with Senior Level Management.

Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier on a daily basis.
Basic Qualifications:
Technical Engineering Degree or equivalent

Must have ability to obtain a security clearance

Relationship development with IPT, suppliers, and customers

Ability to travel up to 25% and manage several competing program tasks and obligations

Knowledgeable in SAP/ERP, P2P, BI/BW, Advanced in Microsoft Office Applications

Strong understanding of engineering requirements management

High energy, self-starting, team player who achieves goals and delivers results

Presentation skills: PowerPoint, supporting documentation, verbal communication, facilitation, leadership

Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action

Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems

Understanding engineering drawings requirements mechanical and electrical inspection methods and design

A strong understanding of special processes and strong skill in managing and interfacing with suppliers on a daily bases to support the Program

Analyze KPIs and data analytics to conduct supplier development efforts focusing on Master Production Scheduling, lean manufacturing, predictive risk, capacity planning/growth, inventory optimization, six sigma, and process maturity at supplier sites

Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions

Must have knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment

Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and to support all supplier quality field engineering activities

Must be able to effectively communicate and interface with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Engineering, Supplier Quality Management, Sub-contracts Management Team and Customer Government Representatives
Desired Skills:
Manufacturing, System Integration, Acceptance Testing

LM EPDM system

ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)

Experience working with suppliers and US Military customers in a dynamic environment

Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements

Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers to the SSOW

Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems

Knowledge of Reduced Dimension Drawings and 3D Models

A understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)

Problem solving and time management skills at a highly refined level

Skilled in supplier recovery and development activity with experience in Subtier Management, Cellular Manufacturing, 5S, equipment utilization rates, Kaizen events, Industrial Engineering, FIFO, Lean, Configuration Management, Change Control, Requirements Management and waste reduction
