Description:The Sr. Manager for the Model Based Solutions team is responsible for technology integration, portfolio execution, and effective technology transfer of the digital technology projects utilizing model based engineering technology solutions.

The team is also responsible for developing solutions to ensure data continuity across product life cycles and across platforms, knowledge sharing, and engineering excellence. Focus areas include advanced design synthesis, multidiscipline design and optimization, generative design, product line engineering, model based systems, digital twins, DfX, automation of engineering tasks, connectivity to real time data sources and pedigree, and state of the art analysis solutions.

This leader oversees direct and indirect project teams across the enterprise. This includes responsibility for external research center engagement for the Model Based Solutions portfolio.

The Senior Manager for Model Based Solutions is part of a senior management team which reports to the Director of Emerging Technologies, Collaboration and Innovation within the Corporate Engineering, Technology and Operations organization.
Basic Qualifications:
-Experience in technology project management, including road mapping, required.
-Demonstrated success in development and implementation of related technologies.
-Experience managing technical teams.
-The applicant must demonstrate a history of collaboration and working with customers.
-Demonstrated success in leading technical and functional professionals, across disciplines, to develop effective solutions.
- Strong communication and presenting skills.
- Model based engineering experience.

-Demonstrated success energizing teams, openly collaborating, and enabling their best performance.
-Capable of representing Lockheed Martin with professionalism in external settings with senior executives from industry and government
-The selected candidate will be a member of a high-performing semi-virtual team and must be self-motivated with a strong work ethic, time-management, and interpersonal skills.
-Experience with developing and maintaining strategic multi-year roadmaps and plans.
-Demonstrate effective communication skills as the position will require frequent interactions with technical and executive leaders across the enterprise.
-Ability to travel for broad business area facilitation and team interaction is required and should be expected at approximately 25% of the time
-Recognized leader in the field with experience leading model based solutions.
-Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies and lead teams to incorporate.
-Minimum 14 years relevant professional experience including at least 3 years managing direct reports.
-Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
