Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems (RMS) located in Orlando, FL is looking for thought leaders with experience architecting logistics information systems to partner with our customers as we develop innovative solutions to meet their toughest challenges.  We build solutions that integrate commercial best practices with technologies that enable secure supply chains in our customer’s most demanding environments.   The Logistics System Solution Architect role will work closely with and support engineering, program management, business development and program teams across the corporation. The position is responsible for:
Driving the technical strategy and technical roadmaps for the business area
Collaborating with current and future customers, shaping requirements and supporting proposal activities
Advising internal investment strategies, recommending external partnerships with industry and supporting cutting edge technology developments
Driving model-based and engineering principles
Mentoring the next generation of talent
Working collaboratively at all levels of the organization including executive leadership and customers
Ensuring the logical and detailed conversion of customer needs into total systems solutions
Establishing system architecture and CONOPS, perform system trades and analysis, flow down the architecture and CONOPS into requirements and interfaces, and support verification planning
Shaping future technology maturation IRADs
Applying Lockheed Martin’s Sustainment Capability Delivery System (SCDS) to ensure the delivery of a robust logistics capability
Basic Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in an engineering/technical discipline from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 14 years of professional experience
-Experienced enterprise and technical architect with knowledge of architectural frameworks
-Experience with large-scale Software Intensive systems and/or large-scale software/system integration activities
Desired Skills:
-Ability to partner across Lockheed Martin Business and customers
-Demonstrated ability to develop execution strategy at the local level as well as corporate
-Demonstrated ability to understand and communicate very sophisticated problems and implement constructive change
-Strong System development background
-Experience developing and executing strategies
-Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues in a timely manner
-Strong interpersonal skills
-Effective communication at all levels of organizational structure
-Experience with transition of designs through product deployment for the defense market is desirable
-Experience in defining the architecture and design for large IT systems in classified environments
-Knowledge of military sustainment activities including Maintenance, Supply, Training, Sustaining Engineering, and Sustainment Operations Support
-Experience with the implementation of commercial Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for use in the logistics domain
-Experience with scaled, distributed operations with intermittently-connected edge devices

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
