You will be the LOB Manager - Supplier Quality Engineering for the Close Combat Supplier Quality Engineering team. Our team is responsible for safeguarding the health and compliance of the Close Combat supply chain.



What You Will Be Doing


As the LOB Manager - Supplier Quality Engineering you will be responsible for driving supplier‑quality strategy, ensuring consistent execution of best‑practice processes, and delivering measurable improvements across the supply chain.


Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:



  • Partner with senior quality leadership to develop and execute supply‑chain strategies that meet program goals.

  • Lead the program Supplier Quality team, overseeing product build, delivery, and adherence to contractual and technical requirements.

  • Implement and monitor metrics, tools, and policies that guarantee supplier performance exceeds required thresholds.

  • Mentor and coach team members to grow talent and elevate the overall capability of the quality organization.

  • Coordinate cross‑functional initiatives that drive process improvements, risk mitigation, and manufacturing readiness.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Secret clearance to start.


Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or higher in a STEM related discipline or equivalent experience/education/training.

• Understanding of the quality management system and how it interacts with transforming business systems

• Demonstrated ability to work as a Full Spectrum Leader at all levels of the organization to drive change. Full spectrum leader: ability to shape the future, energize the team, deliver results, build effective relationships and be accountable with high integrity and ethics

• Ability to communicate at all levels of the organization with clear, concise verbal and written skills and utilizing sound business judgment

• Knowledge of root cause analysis methodologies and demonstrated experience in the development and evaluation of effective

• Supplier Quality experience and the ability to develop a vision for an organization and implement tactical actions to achieve the vision
Desired Skills:
• Team leadership experience with firm understanding of Full-Spectrum Leadership principles
• Proven track record managing team efforts in accordance with enterprise-level command media and Program specific requirements
• Inclusive and customer focused behavior and problem-solving abilities, developing employees, building constructive partnering relationships with customers, employees, and other business units
• Knowledge/Experience with source inspection, surveillance activities and special process reviews at suppliers
• Models and supports organization’s goals and vision; adapts to changing conditions; demonstrates persistence and ability to overcome obstacles
• Ability to give, receive, and act on critical feedback
• Excellent team working skills and the ability to work professionally with the customer
• Experienced in Bid, Proposal and Estimating practices and development
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
