Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) is one of four Lockheed Martin business areas. MFC is a recognized designer, developer and manufacturer of precision engagement aerospace and defense systems for the U.S. and allied militaries. MFC develops, manufactures and supports advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for military customers that include the U.S. Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, NASA and dozens of foreign allies.

MFC is currently seeking an IT Program Manager. The selected candidate will support the execution of various MFC IT project activities. As an IT Program Manager, the selected candidate will work with IT and functional SME’s and coordinate across teams to ensure that program requirements and deliverables are met. Should be able to address technical issues, coordinate with leadership, and support project reviews. Specific responsibilities include the following:
- Update schedules/business rhythms;
- prepares internal reports
- Develop/maintain mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers and internal customers
- Run and Support team meetings leading up to project milestone events
- Help coordinate action item closure
- Pop-up tasking for anything Project Management related to MFC IT project activities
Basic Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree
- Experience with project management and/or earned value management
- Risk and Opportunity Management experience
- Demonstrated experience in driving complex issues or problems to successful closure
- Experience in the use of MS Office products
- Experience with Agile development model
- Experience in gathering requirements and understanding business processes
Desired Skills:

- Two (2) or more years of related IT experience
- Desire to enhance Project Management skills including communication, the ability to deal with unforeseen challenges, and building strong relationships
- Accept responsibility, accountability and exercise authority to ensure cost, schedule, and technical success
- Strong problem solving, root cause, corrective action, and closure skills
- Experience leading discussions and determining resolutions to problems
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with customer
