Description:This position is for an Information Security professional working for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC). This position will be responsible for vulnerability scanning and support remediation activities throughout the MFC Business Area.

The selected individual will serve as the Business Area Scan Point of Contact for MFC and will be responsible for ensuring that the entirety of the MFC IP space is being scanned for vulnerabilities and work with the responsible personnel to remediate systems throughout the BA.

In this role, the candidate must take a balanced, risk-based approach to ensure the business needs are being met when remediating identified vulnerabilities within specific time frames dictated by corporate policy. At a high level, the candidate to fill this role will be responsible for:
• In depth environment network reviews to identify subnet scan ranges for vulnerability scanning
• Coordinating web application vulnerability scanning (WAVS) and database application vulnerability scanning (DAVS)
• Manage priority events and track remediation statuses
• Presenting to a variety of audiences ranging from technical to non-technical within a variety of audience seniority
• Interfacing with a variety of functions and departments, including Corporate Information Security (CIS), MFC IT, and MFC Programs and Functional areas
• Providing guidance and mentoring to various IT and non-IT teams on vulnerability scanning and remediation activities
• Assisting teams in secure IT architecture, designs, and implementations
• Providing support and subject matter expertise to technical to non-technical teams
• Conducting firewall change approvals for isolated environments

The selected individual will also act as a liaison to Enterprise CIS Vulnerability Remediation Management Team, be responsible for assessing and assisting mitigating vulnerabilities of system security threats and risks for systems both on and off the network as it pertains to application configuration and patching; support exception management for applications and systems unable to meet scanning requirements; participate in the evaluation of MFC IT initiatives; perform password management of scanning account credentials; improve key IT security processes and actively participate in Corporate and MFC reviews boards.
Basic Qualifications:
• Hands-on cybersecurity and/or Information Technology experience, within the consecutive past 1-2 years depending on education, in one or more of the following disciplines: infrastructure, cloud, network, applications, or systems administration (Windows, Linux, or Unix).
• Some understanding of Lockheed Martin Cyber Security policies, procedures and blueprints
• Documented experience with threat modeling and cyber risk analysis, inclusive of firewall rule risk management
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with peer teams for common solutions
• Demonstrated effective written and oral communication skills
• Ability to manage the evaluation and implementation of emerging technologies
• Proven record of successfully applying systems thinking, process discipline, operational excellence
• Ability to obtain and retain a DoD Secret clearance (not required at time of hire)
Desired Skills:
• Demonstrated ability to use policies/guidelines and provide technical solutions for non-compliant environments
• Effective analytical and critical thinking skills – proven problem solving and follow-thru in high-pressure situations
• Ability to self-manage projects and appropriate deliverables while working multiple efforts simultaneously
• Hands on experience analyzing isolated network security postures and performing risk assessments
• Demonstrated working knowledge of Lockheed Martin MFC environments
• Familiarity with Amazon Web Services
• Familiarity with DFARS Cyber Provisions including National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Special Publication 800-171
• Experience working with the Lockheed Martin Corporate Information Security (CIS) organization and CIS tools (CyRIS, CATS, Splunk, Web Front End, CIPM iQ)
• Security+ or CISSP certification
