Job Responsibilities
Description:You will be the Industrial Hygienist for our Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) Orlando Environmental Safety and Health (ESH) team as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Industrial Hygiene (IH). Our team is responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Industrial Hygienist, you will closely interface with other MFC departments and functional ESH staff on multiple areas of engagement and cross-functional support of the business while driving continual improvement and innovative solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Define strategies for ongoing exposure monitoring to assure timely identification of deviations in exposure profiles and to ensure controls continue to be effective
• Evaluation of emerging programs with respect to risk to employees
• Support the execution of surveillance requirements as needed
• Act as subject matter expert in areas of indoor air quality, sampling media and methodologies, hearing conservation and respiratory protection
• Interpret exposure monitoring results, develop appropriate recommendations to control exposures
• Recognize and investigate the potential for health effects associated with chemical agents
• Evaluate employee tasks and facility operations to ensure OSHA, EPA & State and Local Regulations are met
• Drive efforts to implement Health Risk Assessments across site
• Represent MFC Orlando on Working Groups and other specialty programs upon request

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance. A company-sponsored interim secret is required to start.
Basic Qualifications:
• Formal education in industrial hygiene, chemical engineering, or similar technical discipline
• Related experience supporting research and development, industrial operations and production, and field service operations
• Pursuit of industry recognized certifications in the Safety, Health or Environmental disciplines
• Demonstrated project management skills
• Proven ability to identify hazards associated with processes or chemical usage that results in proper engineering controls for workforce protection
• Experienced technical report writing
• Lean process orientation with experience using lean six sigma tools
• Ability to identify an issue, identify solutions and provide insights to customers and leadership on appropriate courses of action relative to continued business performance and results
• Experience with regulator engagement, response, and corrective/preventive actions
• Experience with company-wide program development, sampling strategy, contractor management, and communications across multiple locations, various processes and varied regulatory environments
• Experience managing indoor air quality issues or concerns through evaluation of building mechanical systems, process assessment, and common IAQ stressors
• Experience presenting to various levels of an organization and ability to adjust the message depending on the audience
• Strong communication skills with an orientation to a positive customer experience
• Demonstrate initiative to work independently with a proactive attitude
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
Desired Skills:
• Certified by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene as a Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
• Lean oriented individual that is aligned to a team environment and open to growth in other disciplines outside of Industrial Hygiene
• Experience working with common, industry recognized, management systems such as ISO 14001, VPP, etc.
• Proven ability to innovate for improving program effectiveness
• Budget management and financial acumen
• Lean six sigma black belt or green belt
• Master’s Degree in associated discipline
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
