This position requires the knowledge to maintain and repair HVAC equipment, chilled water systems, operate steam boilers and air compressors, chemical water treatment for cooling towers and boilers.
Operates boilers and auxiliary equipment to maintain proper water levels, pressures, and gas or oil flow/air ratio. Operate gaseous nitrogen systems. Operate air compressors to maintain proper pressures, temperatures and flows. Able to operate gas and oil-fired heating equipment. Monitor Energy Management Systems. Perform incidental welding operations in conjunction with normal repair activities.
Makes regular tours of assigned areas to operate heating, ventilating, and refrigeration equipment and systems such as steam boilers, pressure vessels, heating furnaces, motor generators, air compressors, oil heating and pumping apparatus, air conditioning units, refrigeration units, Freon recovery systems, ventilation fans and systems, and large A/C components such as water chillers and cooling towers.
Services and maintains stationary and portable refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, heating and humidifying units, thermostats, water coolers, automatic controllers, pneumatic and low voltage A/C controls, modutrol motors, and change filters and lubricates equipment as required.
Determines and adds chemicals to maintain pre-determined residuals of P.H. of boiler feed water, boiler condensate, cooling tower water, and chilled water systems. Service and perform minor repairs on automatic chemical additive equipment.
Maintains and repairs pneumatic and lower voltage A/C controls, such as thermostats, humidistats, pressure controllers and modutrol motors. Make minor repairs and adjustments, such as tightening and/or replacing belts on A/C exhaust and air supply equipment; and recommends major adjustments for all heating, ventilating and power equipment. Operates, adjusts and make minor repairs to gas and oil fired heating equipment. Responsible for both the internal and external cleaning of coils on chilled water equipment, direct expansion systems, and heat transfer coils related to these systems. Maintain fans when part of integrated self-contained refrigeration or air conditioning systems. Assist in determining and adjusting fan loads, balancing various systems, and other such tasks, as required.
Perform various routine duties involving collecting and recording information, such as collecting station logs, tabulating test results, maintaining equipment logs, operation sheets, and service call sheets. Performs corrective operations on A/C systems, including replacing and/or grinding of compressor valves; adjusting bearings, inspecting and replacing gaskets, replacing work bushings, fans, coils, belts, sheaves, bellows, thermostatic bulbs, and other mechanical/electrical components related to the equipment.
Disassembles, and reassembles equipment as required, to diagnose, correct and test runs; exercising judgment and electrical/mechanical knowledge in determining whether adjustment, repair or replacement should be made.
As needed will obtain a CDL license and drive vehicle incidental to the performance of the above duties.

Must have the ability to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts in accordance with the collective bargaining agreement between Lockheed Martin and the UAW.
Basic Qualifications:
Must have the ability to work on the weekends
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
EPA Certification (Universal).
Expertise in maintaining and repairing HVAC equipment, chilled water systems, operating steam boilers and air compressors, chemical water treatment for cooling towers and boilers.
Must be able to work on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shifts as defined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement
Desired Skills:
Prior experience servicing and maintaining stationary and portable refrigeration units, air conditioning systems, heating and humidifying units, thermostats, water coolers, automatic controllers, pneumatic and low voltage A/C controls.
2 Years Technical Diploma or equivalent certification.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
