We are seeking an entry level designer that thrives in a fast-pace environment, is excited about taking abstract concepts and developing dynamic elements for a wide portfolio of products and platforms.

The successful candidate will be a strategic visual story teller with interested in working in a variety of graphic design mediums including digital media (web, social media, interactives, animations), logos, advertising, tradeshows, executive-level presentations, event promotion and collateral, digital signage, large-format graphics, infographics, brochures, etc.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education. Entry level.
Desired Skills:
Experience with a wide variety of Adobe Creative Suite programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

Work with project manager to partner with a variety of clients to align client requests and goals to business strategy through a variety of visual communications mediums.

Knowledgeable about current design trends and standards across multiple industries.

Applicant must provide portfolio for review



Demonstrate a strong understanding of basic design principles such as typography, composition, hierarchy, iconography etc

Understanding of visual storytelling

Willingness to learn about pitching concepts to clients and ability to thoughtfully explain strategy influencing design decisions.

Willingness to work in/with related visual communications job families: web design, interactive media, photography, videography, animation, motion graphics

Willingness to work collaboratively with a variety of traditional and visual communications disciplines

Ability to follow brand guidelines to reinforce and reflect the Lockheed Martin identity internally and externally with employees, customers and key stakeholders

Experience with Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and other social media channels

Ability to follow established workflow and project management tools and procedures

Ability to work under strict deadlines with competing priorities

Ability to translate direction from clients into innovative and creative designs

Ability to adapt to an evolving company culture

Capable of balancing a project’s creative requirements with schedule, budget, and resource limitations

Ability to work occasionally outside normal business hours and weekends
