Lockheed Martin is seeking a Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) Modeling & Simulation (M&S) Engineer to join the Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) Center of Excellence (COE).
The HWIL GNC M&S Engineer will oversee the design, development and implementation of real-time, closed-loop HWIL capabilities. This individual will be a member of the engineering team developing the systems architecture and detailed designs for multiple HWIL capabilities.
What You Will Be Doing
Tasks for this position will include the definition of HWIL architecture, development of IFS real-time models and definition of interfaces to HWIL HW. The HWIL GNC Engineer will be involved in the design, development and testing of air vehicle SW, FW and HW and the integration of stimulation equipment into the HWIL facility. The HWIL GNC Engineer will support the integration team in debugging software, hardware, connectors, timing, and designs. They will also be involved in the integration, test, verification and validation of the system and various subsystems.

• Development and integration of Real-Time Integrated Flight Simulation (IFS) with test equipment and flight-representative hardware
• Implementation of Models in Real-Time IFS
• HWIL Real-Time Architecture Development

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education
• Real-Time HWIL Simulation Experience
• Experience working in an Agile Development Environment
• Programming Languages: C, C++, C#, Matlab
• Experience with the Requirements Verification and Validation (V&V) process
• Active Secret Security Clearance with a current 5-year investigation
Desired Skills:
• Programming Languages: Python, Verilog, VHDL
• Root-Cause Analysis; Ability to Troubleshoot HW, SW & FW Issues
• Experience as an Engineer working with Multi-Disciplined Teams
• Experience using Configuration Management Systems such as Git
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines
• Experience performing Missile 6DOF Simulation Design and Analysis and HWIL Design and Simulation Analysis
• Support Preflight System Performance Assessment and Post-Flight Verification Analyses
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
