Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems has an opportunity in Orlando, Florida for a Software Engineer supporting the F35 Pilot Training Devices Program. In this important role, you will collaborate with a diverse team of technical professionals and interact with outside customers. Position Responsibilities performed under general supervision to complete milestones associated with specific projects:

• Continuously contributes to the creation of design solutions that address complex engineering problems across the full software cycle.

• Develops operational scenarios, based on the customer’s goals and contractual requirements.

• Develops system requirements and architectures to ensure customer needs and contracts are appropriately translated into the products development cycle.

• Incrementally develops the product design and delivery optimization requirements. Act as a core member of a multi-disciplinary team that represents all capabilities within DevSecOps, directly supporting software development and integration activities for the program.

• Leverages Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) to support the development of functional, architectural, and detailed designs. Incrementally develops design to provide added or updated functionality based on operational scenarios and customer requirements.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor's level degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics or related field and 5 years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree and 3 years of relevant work experience.

• Software Lifecycle experience

• Experience with C or C++

• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance (requires US citizenship)
Desired Skills:
• Working knowledge of Linux or Python/bash scripting, or DOORs or JIRA or Model Based Engineering (MBE)

• Working knowledge of Agile or similar tools. Some examples might include one or more of the following; Atlassian tool suite, Docker, Ansible, GitLab, Nexus, AWS, Kubernetes, Vagrant, Packer, Terraform
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with an investigation within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
