Description:Applicants will possess a demonstrated record of success with a customer-focused strategic approach in Environment, Safety and Health (ESH) excellence in a manufacturing or aerospace environment. The successful candidate will have at 10 years of ESH technical and program experience in that setting, and have excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation and analytical skills.


Direct responsibilities include:
• Manage major ESH program initiatives including but not limited to Target Zero, Ergonomics, ESH Management Systems (ISO 14001, 45001), and safety & environmental compliance programs.
• Implement a common approach to command media, training, common systems across the business area to improve efficiency and compliance.
• Manage the interpretations, recommendations, and compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations and/or company policies
• Develop new and innovative methods to increase employee awareness and engagement in compliance programs/initiatives and drive down risks
• Build and create effective working relationships across the organization in order to accomplish business goals and objectives
• Write procedures and standard work as it pertains to ESH processes
• Manage projects that include the development of detailed plans, including resource and budget requirements, service standards and best practices, framework of programs and deliverables, timelines, measurement and evaluation, communication, and reporting
• Utilize continuous improvement tools to improve the quality of ESH programs
Basic Qualifications:
6 plus years of experience
experience managing cross functional teams
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Engineering, or related field
Professional Certification – Certified Safety Professional (CSP) Required

• Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and be flexible
• Knowledge of and experience with ESH management system elements, such as ISO 14001/45001.
• Understanding of union environments and collective bargaining agreements.
• Ability to make difficult decisions, solve complex issues and influence ESH cultural improvement.
• Ability to respond to internal and external issues to maintain regulatory compliance and enhance the employee experience.
• Experience authoring command media and program documentation.
Experience implementing ESH programs in compliance with key regulation including OSHA, EPA and state and local agencies
• Ability to work effectively within a team and matrix organization
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated management experience and oversight of budget elements, including both overhead and capital expenditures
• Experience in change management and planning activities as they relate to ESH integration and considerations.
• Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma green or black belt or other continuous improvement tools and techniques, including thorough root cause analysis and mistake-proofing processes.
• Knowledge of human performance concepts a plus
• Experience in a manufacturing or aerospace setting a plus
