You will be a hands-on, engineering hardware-focused technician supporting the Statics group at Lockheed Martin. Our team is responsible for providing mechanical support for structural testing applications, and you will play a key role in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team comprising research engineers, systems engineers, and test engineers.

What You Will Be Doing
As a technician, you will be responsible for providing mechanical support for structural testing applications, including:

• Load testing using hydraulic actuators
• Burst testing
• Thermal testing
• Other development vehicle testing
• Interpreting drawing packages, wiring diagrams, and schematics for buildup and teardown of large-scaled structural load test setups
• Mechanical troubleshooting and repair of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components
• Occasional implementation of metal or wood fabrication for test setup and repairs
• Supporting proof load services provided to the Metrology Group, including:
• Visually inspecting tooling
• Applying periodic loading on engineering/development and production/deliverable tooling

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with rigging to safely lift heavy loads in support of structural testing
• Demonstrated sound writing and verbal communication skills in a teaming environment.
• Demonstrated experience with Test Equipment and Test Methodologies.
• Ability to attain DoD Secret Clearance.
Desired Skills:
• Experience maintaining calibration records for periodic proof load activities.
• Experience with hydraulic actuators, hydraulic plumbing and servos
• Knowledgeable on the use of loadcells and readout boxes to perform weight and CG measurements.
• Familiarity with structural load test equipment, test setup and mechanical drawings

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
