Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking an Engineering Aide to provide program support for our Systems Integration and Test team at our Orlando, Florida site.

To be considered for this role you must currently hold an active Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 6 years.

Responsibility includes, but not limited to:

- Managing logistics for off-site testing
- Transporting test setups on-site between work areas
- Interface support between engineers and material purchases and orders
- Managing engineering components inventory
- Laboratory resident-in-charge duties which include enforcing safety protocols, lab area housekeeping, and equipment calibration due dates
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have computer technical knowledge and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Previous logistic and/or inventory management experience.

To be considered for this role you must currently hold an active Secret clearance with a background investigation within the last 6 years. Also, you must be Special Program access-clearable and have the ability to receive a Top Secret clearance.

- The candidate will be responsible for assisting in the setup, operation and maintenance of complex program test setups using equipment at the Eastern Test Site (ETS) location. ETS will be the primary work location with occasional travel to the MFC Main Plant on Sand Lake Rd in Orlando.

-The candidate will need to have a strong background in electrical and mechanical system, and be able to perform basic maintenance with the aid of schematic/ diagrams, common field test equipment, and input from cognizant range Engineers.

-The candidate will be expected to maintain a shop area that will require knowledge of hazardous waste disposal/collection, and keep periodic maintenance records.

-The candidate will be responsible for writing and submitting work orders for vendor repair on items that can’t be serviced or repaired by ETS personnel.

-Will be working outdoors in a rugged environment (Rain or Shine/ Day or night) across multiple shifts depending on testing priorities. The testing schedule for the week will drive the candidate's work schedule and may vary from a standard 4x10.
Desired Skills:
The skills listed below are the preferred skills for the position.

-Familiarity with technology or engineering industry.

-Knowledge of basic electrical concepts and terms (i.e. current and voltage).

-Knowledge of hazardous waste disposal/collection.

-Knowledge of periodic maintenance schedules.

-Be able to read electrical schematic and mechanical drawings.

-Have a working knowledge of hydraulic systems

-Be able to get Certified in Fall protection and not afraid of working at heights

-Be able to get certified to operate heavy machinery (forklifts, cranes, front end loader, lifts etc.)

-Some experience with Arc Welding, Milling machines, milling lathe, cutting torch, and general shop tools.

-Be a self-starter and work with minimal supervision.

-Work well with a team of people from diverse backgrounds.

-Demonstrate a customer-first attitude when responding to dynamic testing schedules and requirements.
