Description:This exciting Enterprise Operations (EO) position is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to work in a fast-paced Information Technology organization where the latest technologies will be developed and applied.

The Analytics and Enterprise Information Management (AEIM) directorate is seeking a Software Engineer to join our team to facilitate effective and organized analytics and information management activities within the Lockheed Martin analytics community at large.
The work location can be any major Lockheed Martin facility; full-time telecommuters will also be considered.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

- Exhibits a degree of ingenuity, creativity, and resourcefulness when collecting, and processing data for analysis while working with an Agile scrum team
- Applies and/or develops workflows that clean, transform and aggregate unorganized data into databases or data sources
- Responsible for collecting, ingesting, processing, and storing large datasets from a wide variety of data sources and stakeholders
- Maintain data systems performance by identifying and resolving production and application development problems; calculating optimum values for parameters; evaluating, integrating, and installing new releases
- Collaboration with data architects and data analysts to develop a solution across the entire data processing pipeline
- Experience working with business stakeholders to develop and deploy data analytics solutions and/or custom software application solutions and leading teams to implement these solutions
- Demonstrated ability to create and implement technical and/or business strategy in the areas of data analytics, information management, or custom software applications.
- US Citizenship
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with Atlassian Stack (JIRA and Confluence)
• Experience with all phases of the software development process including maintenance.
• Experience with Scripting and Automation (i.e., Java, Python, SQL etc.)
• Experience with Cloud (i.e. Amazon Web Services (AWS))
Desired Skills:
• Leveraging Big data & streaming technologies within AWS for data ingestion, transformation & persistence (Presto, EMR, Hive, Redshift, Kinesis etc.)
• Flexibility in learning and utilizing different technologies/tools for use cases across the corporation with guidance from senior team members
• Research and investigation of new analytics solutions for common design patterns at Enterprise scale
• Develop automation capabilities within AWS using DevOps principles for sustainable operations
• Comfortable working within virtual geo-diverse Agile development team
• Knowledge of Agile Methodologies and Implementation
• Knowledge of configuration management tools and software deployment
• Knowledge of Database Management (i.e., SQL, Oracle)
• Ability to troubleshoot issues arising from OS and Network anomalies
• Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic fast paced IT environment
