Description:First line manager overseeing a team of 3-4 Contracts professionals. Develops and applies advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Develops new applications based on professional principles and theories. Develops solutions to problems of unusual complexity which require a high degree of ingenuity, creativity, and innovativeness. Challenges are frequently unique and solutions may serve as precedent for future decisions.

Work is performed without appreciable direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignment.

Effects of decisions are long-lasting and heavily influence the future course of the organization. Errors in judgment or failure to achieve results would result in the expenditure of large amounts of company resources.
Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives.
Basic Qualifications:
This position is for a skilled contract professional to support the capture efforts, contract administration, and lead contract negotiations of MFC proposals/ contracts associated primarily with the Fixed Wing (Sniper, IRST and LANTIRN) program area. The qualified individual must be able to establish effective working relationships and communications with all internal and external customers and possess excellent business acumen.
Possess the ability to lead teams, and a demonstrated ability to interpret RFPs and contract terms, develop contract positions as they relate to risks and identify opportunities.

Ability to comprehend complex financial and business concepts. Handle multiple assignments while achieving program commitments. Experience with proposal preparation; coordinating and participating in management reviews; proposal submission; fact-finding; contract negotiations, contract award and execution.
Computer skills including Word, Excel and Power Point, ECE, DMS, with ability to grasp other software applications required to perform job duties.

Excellent written and oral communication skills; should be detail and teamwork oriented with excellent organizational skills; and possess strong leadership skills.
Able to travel domestic and/or internationally when required to fulfill the responsibility of the position.
Desired Skills:
Experience with Lockheed Martin Contracts processes. Experience interpreting and negotiating DCS terms and conditions with foreign agencies/companies. DCS proposal preparation and contract execution. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high value customer relationships. Maintain versatility and flexibility in demanding situations.

Possess demonstrated leadership characteristics.
