THE WORK

Position Assignment: Training System CIP (Flight Instructor Sr Stf) for the F-35B/C supporting the USMC and USN at MCAS Iwakuni, Japan.
Foreign Assignment: This position will offer a long term deployment to a foreign country. Deployment is contingent upon successful completion of the OJT required at Lockheed Martin’s training locations prior to international assignment.
The successful candidate will instruct flight procedures in the Pilot Training Devices executing to the approved pilot training syllabus. This posiiton will provide instruction using the Full Mission Simulators (FMS). The instructor will operate Instructor Operating Stations (IOS) and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for all pilot training. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the Lockheed Martin training teams on site to fulfill F-35 training objectives and will implement and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies, as directed.
The selected candidate must have a current final secret security clearance with investigation within 5 years and be able to maintain Special Program Access Clearance (PAR).
Additional Responsibiliies:
• The successful candidate will implement, and support Lockheed Martin initiatives, programs and policies as directed.
• Comply with site security and access control procedures in accordance with F-35 program and customer procedures.
• Sanitize all classified media (circuit cards, disk storage devices, etc.) to the LRU in accordance with established F-35 and customer procedures.
• The successful candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.
• The selected applicant selected may be required to work rotating shifts, and work in excess of 40 hours per week.
Relocation: Relocation and housing assistance is available.
Accompanied Status Available: Accompanied status means new hires may have qualifying dependents accompany them on their long-term overseas assignment. Employee and accompanied family members will fall under Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) as part of their employment at MCAS Iwakuni.
The OCONUS Locale: Iwakuni is a city on the Japanese Island of Honshū in the eastern part of Yamaguchi Prefecture, bordering the Seto Inland Sea. Iwakuni is a great place to live and offers much entertainment and culture for its residents and visitors alike. The nearest major city to Iwakuni is Hiroshima, approximately 45 minutes by rail or car. US expats living in Japan have lots of great things to say about their experience living in this exotic country with its vibrant people and dynamic culture. Basic Qualifications:
• Candidate must have a current final secret security clearance with investigation within 5 years and be able to maintain Special Program Access Clearance (PAR).
• Strong systems engineering background.
• Willingness to travel to support mission requirements.
• Candidate must have prior experience in delivering military pilot academics and simulator training and be familiar with current instructional techniques and delivery methods.
• Candidate must have operational experience with advanced sensor systems such as NVS, LANTIRN, Helmet Mounted Cuing, and the latest weapons inventory.
• Must have in-depth knowledge of military publications and an understanding of fourth and/or fifth generation aircraft systems.
• Candidate must have worked in an environment which required them to interact with multiple functional areas and personnel of a diverse nature.
• Candidate must have outstanding interpersonal skills, excellent leadership traits, strong oral & written communication abilities, solid ability to organize, and a high desire to provide customer satisfaction.
• Candidate must be willing to support flexible work hours to align with customer operational schedule
• Use of Microsoft Office products (Word, PowerPoint and Excel) is required.
Desired Skills:
• Experience interfacing with customer at military locations.
• Experience with F-35 pilot training curriculum.
• Familiarity with F-35 program requirements.
• F-35 system knowledge.
• F-35 Full Mission Simulator experience.
• Familiarity with the F-35 ALIS program.
• Currently possess F-35 Program special access.
• 1000+ hours Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft.
• Fighter Flight Time in fourth and/or fifth generation fighter aircraft.
•Former Instructor Pilot (IP).
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret with Investigation or CV date within 5 years

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
