Job Responsibilities
Description:
You will be the Configuration & Data Management Engineer for the Javelin Program. Our team ensures the program’s product baselines stay accurate, controls all configuration changes, and guarantees that contract data requirements are met on schedule—critical work that keeps the Javelin system field ready and on time.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Configuration & Data Management Engineer you will be responsible for driving configuration baseline development, leading Configuration Control Board activities, and managing the flow of contract data across multiple Global Supply Chain Integrated Product Teams (IPTs). You’ll work hand in hand with suppliers, our Joint Venture partner, and internal stakeholders to keep the program on track while supporting annual Supplier Management Process Surveys (SMPS).
Your responsibilities will include:
• Develop, maintain, and audit configuration baselines and “as built” records for all Javelin hardware.
• Convene and chair Configuration Control Board meetings; prepare agendas, minutes, and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs).
• Coordinate with suppliers to establish configuration item baselines, control change processes, and verify compliance with the latest Technical Data Package (TDP).
• Perform status accounting functions, track variances, and ensure accurate documentation of hardware integrated in Troy.
• Manage all contract data deliverables: schedule submittals, produce 30 /60 /90 day status reports, and generate metric charts for program IPTs.
• Resolve data management issues with internal teams, suppliers, and the customer, maintaining a clean, searchable database of contract requirements.
• Support multiple Global Supply Chain IPTs and execute the annual Supplier Management Process Survey (SMPS).
• Travel domestically as needed to visit supplier sites, joint venture partners, and program milestones.

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Ability to work in a Joint Venture environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills are essential
- Good computer skills, Proficient in Microsoft office products
- Ability to work well within teaming environment
- Some technical aptitude or background
- Ability to work at the Orlando facility as required
- Ability to travel
- Attention to detail
Desired Skills:
-Experience with program development, establishing baselines and conducting FCAs & PCAs.
Experience with SAP and Configuration Status Accounting
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
