College Student - ITC Co Op Intern

Description:Provide support to the RMS International Trade Compliance Organization (ITCO) to ensure adherence to US Government (USG) Export/Import laws and regulations. Tasks may include:
• Conduct fact-finding and provide support for the drafting and submission export authorization requests to the U.S. Department of State, Directorate of Defense Trade Controls (DDTC) and U.S. Department of Commerce, Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS)
• Support Record-keeping retention requirements in accordance with USG regulations and Lockheed Martin Corporation (LMC) policies/procedures
• Provide International Trade Compliance (ITC) support to various projects across all RMS lines of business
• Support various audits (DSP-73, exemption/exception usage, ACE reconciliation, etc.) and assist with ITC Self-Assessments
• Gather data and develop handbook for ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) exports, imports and record-keeping
• Coordinate 2019 ITC Outreach Event
• Support ITC Website content generation
• Generate ad-hoc reports for ITC staff
• Support ITC Tool Development team in testing new tools and tool enhancements
• Assist with review of international travel requests
• Ad-hoc projects related to RMS technologies and programs
• Support export / import record destruction initiative from local site records.
Basic Qualifications:
Working toward a BS/BA degree from an accredited college.
Majors: International Business, Law, History, Policy, Government Affairs, Business Controls-Auditing, International Affairs.
Minimum 3.0 GPA

Candidate must have excellent Microsoft Office skills and Verbal/Written Communication skills. Must be a flexible team player, possess multi-tasking abilities with demonstrated attention to detail, and must be able to work independently and effectively in a time sensitive environment.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with USG Export and Import Laws and Regulations including, but not limited to, Export Administration Regulations (EAR), International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), Alcohol, Tobacco Products and Firearms (ATF) Regulations, Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) Regulations, and US Customs Regulations.
