THE WORK
- Work side-by-side with assembly team to assist in training skills, help resolve issues, and quickly demonstrate proper assembly techniques.
- Act as a liaison between training area and manufacturing engineering by identifying process gaps, skill gaps, tooling and training needs.
- Assemble complex cables and harnesses from engineering drawings and/or work instructions.
- Perform assembly tasks such wire stripping, splicing, marking, crimping, soldering, and potting.
- Assist with driving correct actions for non-conformance trends.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols and regulations

WHO YOU ARE
You are a seasoned wire‑and‑cable specialist with solid hands‑on experience building complex harnesses in a high‑mix environment. You thrive as the go‑to resource on the floor, always ready to jump in, coach a teammate, or troubleshoot a problem the moment a question arises. Your ability to read schematics and work instructions, coupled with strong communication skills, lets you translate technical detail into clear, step‑by‑step guidance for any skill level. You work independently, uphold strict quality and safety standards, and serve as the bridge between the training team and manufacturing engineering.

Basic Qualifications:
• +5 years of hands‑on cable‑harness assembly experience in aerospace/defense or comparable environment.
• +1 year of documented on‑the‑floor training/mentoring experience.
• Proven ability to read and interpret work instructions, drawings, wiring diagrams, work instructions, schematics, and BOMs.
• Proficiency in cable and harness assembly tasks (such as wire stripping, splicing, crimping, and soldering).
Desired Skills:
• Strong written & verbal communication skills.
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin's quality control procedures and guidelines
• Experience working with Lockheed Martin or similar companies in the aerospace or defense industry
• Certification in cable harness assembly or a related field
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or comparable continuous‑improvement training.
• Knowledgeable in IPC/WHMA‑A‑620 (Cable & Wire Harness Assemblies).

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
