Description:Lockheed Martin Training and Logistics Solutions (TLS) is growing its business and needs an experienced business development professional to take our ATMP contract, customer and market to the next level.
The focus of this Business Development (BD) position will be supporting growth for the Army TADSS Maintenance Program (ATMP) Mission Area, both domestic and international, to sustain 300,000+ Army training aids, devices, simulators and simulations worldwide for a seven-year contract.
In this position, the BD leader will use their US Army market and customer knowledge to understand and shape ATMP for Lockheed Martin, leading to capture of over-and-above contract and net new business.
In order to support the business growth of our ATMP contract and customer, there is a requirement for an US Army experienced high energy BD Analyst. The individual needs to a ‘self-starter’ and be comfortable operating under their own initiative but also be strong team player. You will work as part of the ATMP Program Team.

Key responsibilities include:
• Ensure LM’s ability to understand and interface with the marketplace. This includes an understanding of the US Army customer people / processes, comprehensive competitive intelligence, building effective customer relationships, and managing outcome-based call plans for ESS/TLS/RMS execs.
• Ensure that LM has superior access to key customers.
• Partner with the LM ATMP team to develop business strategies that align with the market and will drive growth. Decompose those strategies into actionable initiatives including investments, product strategies, partnering, etc.
• Develop orders and resource plans that reflect an aggressive but achievable roadmap for business growth, consistent with LM and RMS/TLS/ESS objectives and priorities.
• Lead seeking out new customers and new applications to continue to grow the ATMP) portfolio.
• Drive successful captures and keep sold campaigns by providing market insight, capture strategy, and coordinating customer interaction. In developing and executing the strategy for these campaigns BD will ensure timely and effective collaboration with all stakeholders to include LoB, exec management, functional, and partners.
• Exercise proper communications and engagement with internal management to keep them informed and involved as appropriate. This includes timely and quality staff work for BD reporting.
• Meet financial and operational commitments.
Basic Qualifications:
• Demonstrable experience establishing and growing US Army customer relationships in a Business Development role.
• Previous and quantifiable experience creating new and growing existing business opportunities and relationships with the US Army.
• Demonstrable understanding of and success in providing the maintenance of training aids, simulators and simulations, includes domain knowledge.
• Solid communication skills with subordinates, peers, executives, and customers.
• Travel: 30-50% travel required.
Desired Skills:
• Military sales and/or business development background and experience executing in the US Army training and simulation market.
• Previous Program Management experience and experience leading successful proposals.
• Thorough knowledge US Army training and simulation methods and practices.
• Prior Military Leadership Experience.
• Technical undergraduate and MBD preferred.
