Job Responsibilities

Job ID: 729641BR Date posted: Jun. 02, 2026
Description:WHAT WE’RE DOING
At Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems, we drive innovation and uphold the highest business‑ethics standards. By leveraging advanced analytics, automation, and a relentless focus on quality, we enable our customers and internal teams to deliver mission‑critical hardware on‑time and on‑spec. As a Lockheed Martin employee you will have a tangible impact on product excellence while working in an environment that values integrity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

THE WORK
This requisition is for a Quality Data Analyst supporting the Rotary & Mission Systems (RMS) business area at the Electronics Production Center (EPC) in Clearwater, FL. You will partner with EPC program teams and multiple Lockheed Martin sites receiving our circuit card assemblies, cables, and box‑level assemblies. In close collaboration with Quality Program Managers, Manufacturing Program Managers, the Advanced Quality Technology (AQT) team, and engineering, you will use data‑driven analysis to identify root cause, keep product quality on spec, and sustain on‑time delivery. The role requires strong independent work habits, proven cross‑site collaboration, and a solid foundation in quality engineering methods.

Responsibilities include:

- Apply SPC, Six Sigma, regression, hypothesis testing, and other methods to identify root causes of nonconforming hardware. Develop and track corrective actions to ensure issues are eliminated, not just treated.
- Translate complex analyses into clear visuals and executive briefings that communicate quality performance, emerging risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Design, develop, and maintain Power BI/Tableau dashboards showing defect trends, first‑pass yield, scrap rates, and other KPIs for EPC and downstream sites; ensure dashboards are real‑time, audit‑ready, and actionable.
- Define, track, and report KPIs aligned with strategic quality goals; provide regular KPI health checks and feed results into continuous improvement cycles.
- Ensure audit readiness and compliance with ISO 9001/AS9100, ITAR, and other contractual standards.
- Partner with QPMs, MPMs, and engineering to align on quality objectives, synchronize data needs, and deliver timely health metrics.
- Serve as a data liaison, translating business problems into functional and technical requirements for analytics solutions.
- Use scripting (Python, VBA, Alteryx) and AI‑enabled inspection tools to automate data extraction, trend analysis, and reporting, reducing manual effort and speeding decisions.
- Identify, source, and ingest internal and external data sets (SQL, Excel, Access, web‑based feeds).

WHO YOU ARE
You are a proactive, data‑centric problem‑solver who thrives on turning raw information into clear, actionable insight. Comfortable working independently yet adept at building strong cross‑functional relationships, you naturally bridge the gap between complex analytics and strategic decision‑making. Your curiosity drives you to dig beneath the surface of every defect, using statistical rigor to uncover the true root causes and design lasting cures. You communicate with confidence, crafting visual stories and executive briefings that make data intuitive for any audience. Passionate about continuous improvement, you embrace automation, lean practices, and emerging technologies to streamline workflows and accelerate results.

WHY JOIN US

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college in Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related STEM discipline.
- Experience working with data in a professional or academic setting (e.g., analyzing large datasets, building reports/dashboards, or supporting process/quality improvements).
- Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (for example: Excel plus at least one of SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar).
- Experience collaborating in a cross‑functional environment (e.g., working with engineering, operations, quality, or program teams) and communicating findings to non‑technical stakeholders.
Desired Skills:
- Hands‑on experience with statistical methods used in quality and manufacturing environments (e.g., SPC/control charts, capability analysis, Pareto analysis, regression, design of experiments).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma, Lean, or other structured continuous‑improvement methodologies.
- Experience building and maintaining automated data workflows or ETL processes using tools such as SQL, Python, Alteryx, or similar.
- Prior exposure to aerospace, defense, or high‑reliability electronics manufacturing environments (e.g., working with CCAs, cables, or box‑level assemblies).
- Experience partnering with Quality Program Managers, Manufacturing Program Managers, or equivalent roles to support program execution and quality objectives.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of delivering clear, concise presentations and dashboards to leadership.
- Ability to work effectively across multiple sites or teams, managing competing priorities in a fast‑paced production environment.
