Job Responsibilities
Description:THE WORK
We are seeking a Associate Manager to join the RMS Global Sustainment, Information Systems & Innovation (IS&I) organization who will be responsible for leading a small team with regards to the development and deployment of multiple programs on multiple platforms. This role will be responsible for supporting a variety of applications from our CAST (Connect, Assist, Sustain & Transform) suite of tools/applications though effective Management skills, Project Management, Project planning and Technical expertise to enable a successful development execution and technology insertion of these applications for the customer.
The CAST products is a culmination of various advanced software offerings enabling Lockheed Martin customers on a variety of platforms to have an interactive experience within their respected areas of operations. Examples of these products include the Lockheed Martin Interactive Electronic Technical Manual (IETM), the Aurora Maintenance Management System (AMMS) and the Digital Field Service Rep (Digital FSR) mobile and web applications to name a few. The CAST suite of tools is a key sustainment supporting element for both Commercial and Military operations today and continues to evolve with new capabilities. By leveraging the most current technological software advances, our developers are rapidly expanding the product offerings from a simple application to an in-depth interactive experience.
The successful candidate will be a key focal point and Leader for identifying a vision and executing in a forward leaning growth mindset to achieve organizational goals. These efforts will foster an environment to accelerate advanced sustainment solution(s) while managing and empowering the team assigned to achieve success. The Associate Manager will be responsible for overarching execution of CAST solutions which will meet our customer’s requirements through the period of performance for the given contract(s) while pursuing future contract options and leading new capability developments. Additional responsibilities will include but not limited to the candidate being the primary interface between multiple levels of internal and external organizations for collaboration and/or technology insertion.
Summary of Role
• Manage a small team of direct reports including various administrative tasks as required
• Conduct one/one setting short and long term goals
• Provide overarching technical leadership of software development effort
• Keep pace with enabling technologies and provide input to technology insertion plans
• Lead a team whose duties include software reviews, development scheduling, program management, software development and contract execution.
• Oversee the development of presentations in support of Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)/guidance conferences, IPT meetings, program reviews, and summits.
• Serve as liaison with System Engineering and interfacing organizations (SSE, Eng, Diagnostics,
Supportability sub-segments, etc.)
• Serve as the focal point for all requirements issues related to the project
• Develop short and long term organization objectives
• Create and mature Statements of Work
• Review and approve requirements
• Direct CDRL development
• Provide day-to-day reviews of subcontractor work products (answer questions, offer direction, and provide requirement conflicts)
• Submit Weekly project Status Reports
• Work with project teams to gather, analyze, and document technical requirements
• Manage the product backlog of the team’s tasks
• Manage supplier deliverable schedules
• Create executive-level status reports
• Identify and act to meet all Legal and Export requirements
• Work with Programs to align technical/business objectives with products
• Work with internal Cyber Security staff to resolve technical data issues
• Interface with customers in regular telcons, Integrated Process Team meetings, and Technical
Interchange Meetings
• Document and resolve customer issues
Basic Qualifications:
• Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Aeronautical Science and/or Business (MBA) or equivalent work experience
• Experience as Integrated Product Team (IPT) Lead
• In depth knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
• Detail oriented, team oriented
• Clear & concise writing skills
• Demonstrated ability to effectively work with internal & external customers
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and work with limited direction to accomplish project goals
• MSOffice Proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, Timeline)
•US Citizen
Desired Skills:
• Experience leading a small team for the execution of Direct and Foreign Military contracts
• In depth knowledge of software development life cycle
• In depth knowledge Scrum and Agile development methodologies
• In depth knowledge with Systems Security Engineering and Cyber Security principles
• In depth knowledge with aircraft operations
• Experience with data collection and analytical analysis
• Experience with the development of mobile devices, applications and/or technologies
• XML/html knowledge a plus
• Software user interface design a plus
• Technical writing/IETM user experience a plus
• Aircraft maintenance experience a plus
• Cost Account Manager (CAM) a plus
• Ability to acquire US Government Security Clearance a plus

Ability to Work Remotely: Full-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site. Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $120,100 - $208,150. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
