Technical Trainer Sr

Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a Technical Trainer Sr subject matter expert with training development to analyze needs and develop products for the Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) Air Commando Training Support (ACTS) contract. These products include but are not limited to syllabi of instruction (SOIs), student/instructor guides, interactive courseware, assessments/quizzes/tests, emulators, and immersive simulations.

The selected candidate will:

• Plan, develop, and implement technical product training programs for customers, and/or employees, and field support personnel.
• Obtain information from customer and technical organizations, engineering, software and product requirements to prepare training programs.
• Prepare lesson plans and training materials.
• Design product demonstrations.
• Determine methodology and develop course content.
• Coordinate the development of training aids.
• Conduct training sessions, product demonstrations, and develop criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
• Continuously revise lesson plans to ensure course material reflects product features, meets new training requirements and remains up-to-date.

Additionally, candidate will:

• Apply training principles and techniques.
• Apply experience using DoD-specific standards.
• Apply technical writing and editing skills.
• Apply expertise using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Demonstrate ability to work in a team environment.
• Apply a high standard for work quality, self-motivation, and ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Basic Qualifications:
• Experience planning, developing, and implementing technical product training programs.
• Experience applying training principles and techniques.
• Experience conducting training sessions, product demonstrations, and developing criteria for evaluating effectiveness of training activities.
• Experience working as DoD Technical Trainer.
• Experience using DoD-specific standards.
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working in a training development team environment.


Ability to obtain a maintain a US government security clearance.
Desired Skills:
Desired knowledge/skills include::

• Have experience as DoD Technical Trainer.
• Have experience with MC-12W, AFSOC ISR, TAC ISR, or TAC C2 would be extremely beneficial.
• Have active Secret clearance at start of employment.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite of tools e.g. Photoshop, Animate, Illustrator, etc.
• Experience working with learning content management system. platforms (IBM Kenexa LCMS/LMS) to develop and/or deliver distance learning.
• Experience with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and XML.
• Experience in project management and/or ISD leadership.
• Excellent organizational, planning, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
